  1. I will be playing at the Casino Rama Fall Classic next week. Anybody else from the forum playing?
  2. I managed to get two seats for the WPT CPO. It was crazy at the casino as people were selling their $330 satellite vouchers for $500 plus a 10% stake, since voucher holders got priority to play in the satellite while there was a very long waiting list of people who did not even get a chance to play. When players found out that I have an extra seat, I started getting offers from total strangers, including one for $4,000.
  3. Canadians Gavin Smith and Isabelle "No Mercy" Mercier have confirmed. Read http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive...6/18/c9521.html
  4. While playing cash games at Niagara Falls, I found out that there were only a few seats of the WPT $2700 event available for sale, so I bought one of the last seats. The casino imposed a surcharge just for using a credit card (as if everybody carries $2700 to $10,000 cash in their wallet ). My extremely diligent credit card company phoned my home number shortly after to verify the unusual transaction, and my spouse answered. I am not sure if I will be allowed out of the doghouse in time to play in the WPT tournament on Sunday....
  5. 13CARDS, what do you look like? I've been to Fallsview Casino a few times, and remember supervisors like Carlos; an older guy with a grey mustache; and a balding guy.
  6. Agreed. There is no point in spamming our friends, since lifeofsports has no idea what he is doing.

  8. The $1 coin is called a loonie. The $2 coin is called a twonie.I've seen the Daniel Negreanu card topper. Doesn't any of his fans here use it?
  9. I think that is actually the original Shoeless Joe's location. They have a free poker tournament every Sunday starting at 7:15-7:45 PM. I have played there several times, including a heads up tournament where the final two won seats to a 75-person championship tournament last month. That champion won a U$10,000 buy-in to the WSOP Main Event and will be going on an expense-paid trip to Las Vegas this month!

  11. Has it been revealed yet why Jerry and Jimmy were bribed out of the Protege Final Table?
  12. I'd love to play with my fellow kababayan, but driving to downtown Toronto and paying for parking is too much of a pain. If it was any bar in the west or maybe even Dave & Buster's in the north, I would go.
  13. Thanks for a great post, which many DN fans have been thinking the same way. There are a lot of immature and hateful responses, but you are entitled to your opinion and many DN fans agree with you. Hopefully, DN's GOLF blog will soon return to his POKER success at the WSOP.
  14. Yes. For example, if you have 2-3 clubs and your only outs after the turn is a club, there is a 20% probability that you will get a flush on the river (9/46). With an $8 pot, calling a $2 bet on the turn is only 17% of the total pot [2 / (8 + 2 + 20], so it would be correct to call. If your opponent bets $6, it would cost you 30% of the pot to call [6 / (8 + 6 + 6)], which is more than your 20% odds of winning, so it is better to fold.Poker takes a lifetime to master, but until you understand the basic math such as above, you should avoid gambling with real money against the players that ca
  15. Yes, Bergen is much better than Fidler. It's too bad that Bergen did not mention the infamous Jerry and Jimmy incidents. Maybe all the finalists were offered a buy-in to a future tournament by FCP.
