  1. The hand kind of rings a bell to me. I believe it was the Plaza tournament that Daniel won and the hand was against Thomas Keller. The hand kind of stuck out, because Daniel hit his flush and then checked it to Keller who bet and Daniel said "I was hoping you'd do tht' and then just called...worried about the full house orhigher flush, and more than likely assuming that any check raise here would probably not get celled by just a set which Keller had. Can't remember many more details from taht. I checked the card player archive and the hands he wrote about were one against Annie, Paul Philli
  2. I have to believe they made that up, I had forgotten that that was the hand where they couldn't actually see the cards. I see absolutely no way that Lisandro can believe he is actually fold in that spot. The way lisandro thought about it, I would guess maybe A-10 on a board where Ace high looks good. (and lisandro is not as dumb as the guy who laid down 3 tens..."Man, you did not lay down three tens")
  3. At the final table of the 2001 (I believe) main event, Matusow folded Queens, Phil Gordon folded Kings to Hellmuth's aces preflop.
  4. I have never played with either of these guys myself, but from what I have heard, Paul is one of the friendliest guys on the circuit.Aside from that I would guess that Chris woul be smart to shut his motuh....he may be able to kick the a$$es of 90% of the poker players out there, but I would doubt that Paul Darden is one. If you are going to start sh!t with Paul Darden, at least make sure it isn't while you are playing stud.
  5. Maybe he has been dealing on the internet....that would explain, after seeing so many hand, why he expected to suck out every time
  6. Wow, the only things I would have a chance of winning in ar ethe poker games....agaianst one of the best poker players in the world....is there something wrong with this?I propose that the winner be able to substitute 2 games, with skill games of his /her choice.....I opt for Trivial Pursuit, and either beer pong and flippy cup
  7. I know the game isn't the simplest...but how do they have this footage with this great of players and not televise it.Anyone think that these guys paid to not televise it so that info couldn't get out on how they play?
  8. I didn't even notice that....priceless
  9. Do you do cartwheels, before or after showtunes go off in your head?
  10. He is the best...I know the "straight" was the popular hand no make fun of, but I am partial to the fullhouse hand.Freedy says that he is calling and has a full house and Ted announces "5s over 8s" as if theat is going to beat Freddy's full house....dude you have the wost full house on the board, if he has any full house....you lose
  11. A sort of interesting deal that didn't happen was in 2001 Omaha Hi/Lo. It got down to heads-up between Phil Hellmuth and Scotty Nguyen and Scotty had been dominating Phil and offered a reverse deal. He offered to even the chips up and play winner take all the prize money for 1st and 2nd and the bracelet. Phil declined and lost...but an interesting deal none-the-less....Scotty had a few Michelob's to help the situation. The story and video is on pokerpages.com.http://www.pokerpages.com/tournament/result1741.htmhttp://www.pokerpages.com/tournament/2001w...p/Scotty250.asx
  12. I don't like any of the prices, but 150-1 on David Williams is getting tempting.About 80-1 would be the lowest odds I would go and that would be for Ivey, Forrest, Negreanu, Harrington, and Lindgren.Habib, Hennigan and Luske at 80-1 would be my choices after Dasvid Williams.
  13. Tuan Le sucks because he played AK against Brad Berman?!?!He was bullying people with crap and it was working. He finally picks up a big hand and he gets excited. It tight player would play hands besides KK and AA also (even Phil Hellmuth plays 10 hands). He was unlucky for a monster like AK to run into KK and then he was lucky to draw out (and remember the A is still an over card)
