Looking like the draft is going to be Friday Sept 22nd back at my condo's party room. The Saturday is a no go for Daniel and not a good day for me.

I've been reaching out to people the last hour trying to find out any potential issues.

I would want to start as early as possible taking into account people's work and travel schedule so please get back to me as soon as you can if you think you have a preference for start time. For example somebody may already have plans for that evening while somebody else can't start until a specific time because of work or coming in from out of town.

No problem. I already told the wife my plans so I am free. Otto and I will be in attendance.

I was going to ask if there could be any consideration to finding a more central locale, but I guess Bob's is kinda central for the rest of the league... all the York Region people... easier to drive there, anyways. But the most fun ones in my memory have been the ones downtown. (Or the one? Lol)

Just sucks for me because I have tickets to Bill Burr that night, so I'll have to leave at like 5:30 or 6:00, if I make it at all.

I can make it
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.

downtown is the least central place possible. Especially for people driving from Ottawa, Kingston and Sudbury

And on that note, are we getting that new website this season?

Hey all, I wish I had good news but I don't think it will be completed in time to use this season. We have made good progress but the back end developer is a senior at his company and is doing this as a nixer in his spare time... which is never and I have three kids all under 10... so ... yeah... there it is...

A lot of the architecture, login system, database and security is in place. What is taking an unusual amount of time and back and forth is the UX and logic of the whole thing. If it doesn't all play together then there is no point right? Anyways, that's the update, sorry it isn't better news. We'll get there and it will be ****ing amazing when we do.

ps: did I mention the Developer is from Ireland and a professional Fencer (the stabbing type, not the backyard type)... which means he knows nothing about Hockey... as if it wasn't challenging enough already.

FYI I have a lot of the contracts done and should get them all finished on Tuesday. I'll post when they are all done and can e-mail the spreadsheet to those that want it along with the usual post online.

Bob, are the game dates finalized somewhere? I figured Dale would have posted, but can't find it.

Are we dropping the final day of the regular season?

I should post the final game dates after Tuesday as well. We will be dropping the last 2 game dates since the trend is for teams to rest more and more players.

Thanks.

Bob, how will the AHL handle having two extra sets of goalies?

Will you allow mid-season pick ups of whoever is leftover after the auction?

I would imagine two sets of Goalies will always be available on waivers.

I wonder if having 4 goalie sets on the roster and only 22 skaters will ever be an option.
