  4. Do you mean: is it easier to play against somebody who's predictable or tricky? Obviously it'd be easier to pay against a predictable player. But a good book would tell you to play unpredictably, vary your play and understand your table imagine. So you can play by the book and be unpredictable. Also if a person is a "natural" or has "instinct" this is because he/she already understands what someday else has written in a book. Like Speedz said, you need to do both to be really great, study books and play a lot of hands. I like to play against people who do neither
  5. That was entertaining. As creative as the argument on 2+2 about being able to get a 5 of a kind in Hold 'em because you 'share' cards.Good work kid.
  6. PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is BB with [7s], [Td]. UTG calls, MP calls, 1 fold, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.Flop: (5 SB) [Jc], [7h], [9c] (5 players)SB bets, MP folds, Button folds, SB calls.Turn: (4.50 BB) [3s] (2 players)SB checks, UTG bets, SB calls.River: (6.50 BB) [6d] (2 players)SB checks, UTG bets, SB calls.Final Pot: 8.50 BBSB was really loose and passive. UTG was unknown.I immediately regretted not raising the flop with the pair and gutshot, but looking back the tens could be dirty. Thoughts?
  7. I don't know what's more ridiculous, losing poker players blaming it on poor competition or rigged websites.
  8. Everyone deserves Girl Scout cookies, especially thin mints!tagalongs!those the peanut butter ones?Word.
  9. Have you recently withdrawn money?Savy poker sites will throw some huge bad beats at you to get you to deposit more.
  10. I found it to be a big pain in the ass.I don't think you can set it up to auto import. You can set it up to automatically pull hand histories from your email, BUT it has to be a specific kind of email account (not web based like hotmail). The way i worked it was having hotmail open and maually saving the hand histories to my hard drive, where it would be auto imported.
  11. A college degree isn't a ticket to success. Just ask Kanye West.No offense to anyone, but a college degree doesn’t mean shit these days. Most of the younger people I worked with when I was a server at TGI Fridays were college undergrads, and they couldn't find a job with their degree. You want to have a college degree and work a career the rest of your life? You're never going to make more than 300 grand a year max, and that’s if your extremely lucky and want to spend fourteen years of your life going to school and racking up debt. That may be enough for some of you, but I plan on being retired
  12. OP's got this career as a second shift server to fall back on.
  13. You are a machine.I figure I need to beat 5/10 for about 1,400 hands a day to justify quiting my job. Considering I wanted to blow my brains out after playing 2,000 hands over 3 days for the Empire turbo reload, poker will always be a hobby for me.
  14. my "toogood" search is turning up any hits. how he spell it?
  15. I'm not sure what the likelihood of the SB 3-betting. The flop looks like an auto bet to me, with any number of high cards or middle pairs. If a club on the turn (10 outs). you'll be happy to pay to see the river. Of course if a 3 hits, you're way ahead.
