When you ask PLO8 questions like that, you're going to have to give details like position, stack size etc. In this case, it's a general no.

In fact, the type of table and all sorts of questions like how many left in the hand etc. But taking the average case for all criteria, the answer is no/maybe.And for the beginning player who's just started in Omaha8, the answer is NO.

here's my opinion. feel free to criticize.pot limit omaha is all about having monster hands, either scooping/three-quartering the pot, or freerolling a massive draw, etc. if you had A2QQ, it would be a great idea to bet, not only because you can take down a pot right then and there but also for value--you have a lot of outs to a monster hand, both high and low.i think the problems here were:1. your nut low draw was uninsured, plus there was no counterfeit protection. you can't be aggressive on weak draws like that.2. you had a very weak nut high draw. you were basically drawing to a J with the board pairing, which still wouldn't be top boat.3. what would you do if you were called and the board came an A or a 2 or a Q. then you'd be looking at a dangerous situation because you basically have no low anymore (unless another low card came, but then your low would no longer be the nut low), and you would have no real high.so in that kind of case, you want to proceed cautiously. if the pot was heads-up, or at most three-way, you might be able to get away with a semi-bluff here with an OK chance of backing into a decent hand, but i wouldn't make that move.hope this helps,aseem
