  2. in texas the hold tourneys it is FREE to play and they sell alcohol and whatever the serve but you cant have a "cash" game ie buy in and make a profitthat is the bar cant thats why they let em play for free
  3. heyjust a tip when chris money maker sits down and plays the straddle everytime at your table its not because he dosent care its because he SUCKS....i know i will prob get flamed for that but i honestly think he is horrible...
  4. i think a "straddle" does serve a purpose in a game and does not need to be done be the loosest of players... It is the same as checking in the dark to take the pressure off of you before a flop, or betting in the dark or any other out of the ordinary play to change the game up... it does serve a purpose though the same guy was doing it at a 2/5 NL table in tulsa and they were begging me to do it so i said why not... well i straddled the 10 and i had 3 callers when the dealer looked at me i had to tell him i could still bet and then i looked at QQ... i raised 35 more with one caller and took p
  5. winning is fun but i dont remember how many times i have won money here and there 1500 at the casino here or 450 in a cash game there but i do remember the best hand i have ever had though..2/5 no limit...the women in 3rd position has been harping on me all night long her husband is in position 6 i am in 4th...well i get pocket 2s she has AA... she bets 15 and i call..flop 22A ....nothing else to mention other than she looks at me with about 850 and says im all in sarcastically and of course i call and she asks "how can you check 4 of a kind" i said you just say check....next hand me like 2200
  6. i think my favorite hand would be J10 suited just something about that hand that i like also my favorite hand to limp with is 22 i call them the dogs cause they bite when you arent expecting it..
  7. my favorite was with a fish and he had i think 2 clubs in his hand and 3 hearts were on the board he went all in i called with ithink 2 pair and then he started yelling yes i have the flush and paradign around his house talking smack..but my favorite thing is when i crack someone when they limp and they start telling me how that was a bad play and what not and i say :hey thanks man keep telling me im bad while i stack your chips...
  8. here is my opinion... everything has to do with variables if you are not stating them then you cant make or ask for a proper evaluation of the hands to raise on..poker is not cut and dry its not black and white poker is GREY...there are no rules to doing things that you do many people watch people on tv and question what they do and then do something the same 2 weeks later..poker is a skill not a game played by drones..look i have sit at a NL table and raised inthe small bling with 87 suited... now that may sound nuts but i also didnt tell you that the whole time i was at the table when i bet
  9. cherokee is a a 18+ indian casino..its not 2/4 though its 2/5 no limitCurrently we have 30 poker tables up and running. 10. with 2 clubs on the flop and me(u) hitting the set i am pushing all in so they have to pay to see the club...they have lets say 9 outs but you have outs as well so i make them make the choice...or you can check raise it i like to do it if there is an ace or king on the board with no consecutives or 2cards suited and then check raise em..bottom line is you were beat no matter what..it happens..
  11. i mean you have to change the way you play them no matter which way you decide to play them..for instance last week i was in the BB with JJ and i had a raiser with no calls and i called 2/5 for 25 now i figured him for a AK or AQ the flop was AJ4 so he raises 100 1/2 his stack i put him all in with a AK and he loses...i had JJ again on the botton 2/5 8 handed i raised 30 and had 1 caller when the flop was a rainbow 259 i bet 50 and he folded and showed a AQ so i took it down and kept goingbut if you dont raise with JJ then why play them just dump them the 4th best pair and you just limp and wh
  12. I have been playing at cherokee casino in tulsa oklahoma it is 18+ but card games are new here for oklahoma and they have approx. 80 tables and there is always a game no matter when.http://www.cherokeecasino.com/they have 2/5(buy in 200) and 5/10(500 buy in) all the time as well as 10/20(buy in 1000) they also have a 20/40 limit and if enough people want to play high stakes they will sit a dealer in the vip and deal em up i think they have had some 100-200 and 500-1000 but i have never been there when those games were in action..Nice casino but bring the reel the fish are always lurkin
  13. hmm... its defiantely a teaser but dosent seem that hard as i see it i mean you have alot of hands that are better than you at that point..so i am folding with not having info on player chip stack history and various other variables..but i mean if you think you are beat then why play i mean you cant call for value here i mean it would cost to much just to see a hand for value and if you are beat lay it down and move on to the next hand...but my question is why such a minimal bet???i mean 150 in to that pot leaves you to guess on what he has wouldnt a larger bet eliminate some of those possib
