I'm excited for these playoffs. I like a lot of these matchups. Some early thoughts.

Winnipeg/Minnesota is an overdue rivalry. I hope Minnesota can keep it relatively close.

Washington/Columbus is intriguing. Can the Jackets get to the 2nd round for the first time? Or is this finally Washington's year?

Boston/Toronto is a nice rematch from that "it was 4-1" series. Should be a really good one. Leafs could take it.

I'm excited to see Colorado in the playoffs, but I fear they won't be there long. I think MacKinnon and the rest of his line could really raise their game, but, then again, Nashville's the team to shut them down.

Can New Jersey upset Tampa? I could see Hall being a serious playoff star.

Pulling for San Jose over Anaheim... still want to see those guys win a Cup.

Vegas/LA should be interesting. High scoring, high speed Vegas against the stingiest defensive team in the league (fewest GA).

I hate Pittsburgh/Philly. I could see the Pens having a 2012-style defensive meltdown (less of the 2012 composure meltdown, though).

Stanley Cup rematch, eh? 3 straight finals would be a heck of a run for the Pens.

Minny in 5? How much bias are we using up here? I haven't decided on that series. I like Monny a lot. I see it being close enough, but without Suter? Jets are soooo good.

Just a hunch (fairly large amount of bias). I don't think the Suter injury hurts the Wild as much as people think.

I have the Jets and the Flyers in a small pool. I'm drawing dead but it gives me an excuse to watch the Jets destroy the Wild in 5 games.

I don't need an excuse to watch the Preds destroy the very soul of the Avalanche.

ahh, playoff time, time to curl into a ball on the couch and rock back and forth nervously for 3 hours each night until the Leafs and the Wild are eliminated.
