  1. honestly, i think if anyone else in the hand had pushed and called other than these two players i couldve folded, but with these two, i just didnt see them having me beat.and yea this hand is prob more standard. it was just a really big hand for me and still stings thats all.villain 1 had AJo and villain 2 flipped over 23d and spiked a diamond on the river....
  2. im not really questioning whether to call or not. i did put enough to put the other guy all in. what i wanted to talk about was the hand in general. my play and the play of others. forget about the math part for now....Metternich: what does bbfidts mean???and dictius, i dont use online poker things so i dont really know what those numbers mean, and i know what equity is, but i dont fully understand it, mind breakin it down?
  3. Before i get into this. This hand if from a live cardroom in Florida. State law mandates that all buy ins be for $100. No more no less. I usually sit at the 1/2 and grind 50bbs but theres usually good action at 2/5. Its tough to get started cause you have 20bbs and its pretty much a donkey fest. But it is what it is.This hand was about 4.5 hours into the table. I had a very tight image. Ive only been playing premium hands, winning 3/4 of the pots that i get involved in, which is very few. I havent shown down any bluffs, bad cards, or bad plays. Really ive just been sitting there looking at rag
  4. He was the original preflop raiser, he just calls on the flop and then min raises the turn. Then bets 1/2 pot on the river. I think if he flopped the flush he wouldve raised the flop and also bet more on the river. I think hes trying to represent a big hand with the min raise. Idk what his stats mean cause ive never used pokertracker so unless its in there, this is what sticks out to me. Syous, mind messaging what you were hinting at???
  5. Syous, what would you recommend for me, a decent player to really pick up their game. Ive been playing for three years, Im 19. Ive been dippin in and out of forums for about 6 months, not really devoting myself to them tho, its a lot of work. Ive read things here and there. Ive got a lot of experience. I love the game. I feel that im ahead of the average curve, but behind the online posting community. I understand a lot and have good insight yknow but theres definitely a difference between my level and yours or acids. You mentioned something about a coach? And whats that S7S group you mentioned
  6. lol ahhhh i hate sounding stupid infront of large groups of people.um the mistake im referring to is on the turn bet, and maybe the flop raise???i actually really like my call, and yea i understand its backwards thinking. but like i said, him and i play similarly and think about the game deeply. therefore, my hand is easily dominated but so is his raising range. i was CO and he was to my right, by calling, the button folded and i had position in the hand, and the better player.against a weaker player, i wouldnt be playing the q7. but against him, most of our pots i feel are goin to be more met
  7. folding preflop is pretty standard. and when i mentioned that him and i were the best players in the game, it wasnt to talk myself up, we are just the most experienced and think deeper about the game, as opposed to the rest of the table who are mainly there just to hang out and have a good time, although we've never played together. while i agree that q7off is a lil less than marginal, against my oppenent, i felt standard plays and standard hands just arent going to work. unless its aa vs kk, i dont see us getting into any big confrontations, and i wanted to send him a clear message. we both h
  8. aimhigher, just a word of caution, while you may be aiming higher, most people at these stakes are not. very often people can play these stakes while almost doing anything because a loss isnt that bad no matter what. so putting people on ranges is difficult because you have no clue what this person is doing thinking. He may not be thinking about the hand at all. Hes watching tv, multi tabling. People do alot of weird things at these stakes and i think pyschology comes into play a lot.he could have flopped the flush, he could be making that play with a king, maybe king of clubs. the jack or air
  9. what the shizzle?either way, what everyones said is pretty good.but just a comment on the limp reraise. at these stakes youre goin to be playing on average poorer players. a lot of beginners like to limp reraise with big hands, mainly aces and kings.i saw it last night at .50/1 from what i considered a wealthy beginner. everyone folded and he flipped up aces.
  10. Full ring game with deep stacks. Im in the CO with q7off. Player to my right raises to 3.50, I call and one other caller. Three to the flopFLOP: Jh Qc 7h. Player 1 checks, Original raiser bets out 8. I think for a moment and raise to 28. Player 1 folds and villain calls. TURN: 5hVillain checks. I contemplate for about 15 seconds and bet out 35. Villain mumbles i dont think i can fold and calls.River: 2h putting 4 hearts out there.Villain bets out 50 instantly.Hero??????Villain is probably the best player in the game with about 170 bb and im pretty much the second best with about 250 bb. I real
  11. i think you shoulda raised more preflop and i think you shoulda raised him more, um as played, i guess call...... i mean idk how profitable it will be to fold every time this play comes up. i doubt he has a set cause i think hed smooth call, but two pair is a good possibility, youre still live and he showes qj then good for you.
  12. there are no other retarded draws and i wouldnt expect someone to make a horrendous call such as this person did with just the ace of diamonds. i think more often the not, the only way hes getting called if he pushes is if someone already has the flush. in which case you just donked your entire stack.the stacks are deep here and your hand is vulnerable.there was like 440 in the pot and he went all in for 780? something like that. and didnt really know where he was, i think it would have been better to just call and re evaluate on the turn. i mean maybe im wrong here and if so, others please c
  13. you might try a squeeze play here and there tho get some value there
  14. i dont really see the big deal with this hand...... you played it well as far as i can see. i dont see him having you beat...... unless hes got qj of hearts youre good......... and yea, arent you already all in after that 70 bet? lol
  15. to wsop2008 and metternich?all in on the flop??? i think is alittle unnecessary at this point. youve got almost 200bb. thats deep enough. on the flop youve got what? 25 invested. and the bet is 240. okay so let me get this straightFlop kd 2d 8dutg checks,utg+1(you) checkmp? bets 80utg raises all in 240the pot right now is at 440 and its 240 for you to call with 780 behind. (correct?)IMO, best move is to call the 240, see what mp does and re eval on the turn.theres no need for you to raise all in here, youre only getting called if youre beat, (idk how deep mp was so....) obviously mp is a bad p
