Really happy to see F Brett Howden, TB. moved to NYR. We were doubled up with Mitchell Stephens in TB as well and it looks like Howden will have a much better chance to make the NYR than he would TB.

In another move, Chris Bigras who has been a big disappointment in Colorado gets a new opportunity in NYR as well. Unlikely to pan out, but a change can't be a bad thing.

Cheap Thieves Roster Keeper Assets in Order of Value:

1. F Nolan Patrick, PHI 0
2. D Damon Severson, NJ. +3
3. F Jujhar Khaira, EDM. -1
4. F Dominik Simon, PIT. -1
5. D Joakim Ryan, SJ. +8
6. D Sebastian Aho, NYI. -1
7. D Matt Grzelcyk, BOS. -1
8. F Colin White, OTT. -1
9. F Jayce Hawryluk, FLA. -1
10. D Erik Gustafsson, CHI. 0
11. D Mackenzie Weegar, FLA. -2
12. F Martin Frk, DET. -1
13. F Devin Shore, DAL. NA
14. F Tomas Nosek, VGK. +2
15. F David Kampf, CHI. 0
16. F Barclay Goodrow, SJ. NA
17. F Kalle Kossila, ANA. +1
18. F Nail Yakupov, COL. -6
19. F Remi Elie, DAL. -5
20. F Joe Thorton, SJ. NA
21. F Kenny Agostino, BOS. -4
22. F Jordan Szwarz, BOS. -2
23. D Alexander Carrier, NSH. -2
24. F Casey Cizikas, NYI. -2
25. D Chris Bigras, NYR. 0
26. D Paul Ladue, LA. -3
27. F Jason Pominville, BUF. 0
28. F David Backes, BOS. 0

Joakim Ryan has proven to be a trusted NHL regular and of late he is adding some production to his game. He is an Aho eligible player that will certainly be signed for two more seasons. Nail Yakupov has a higher pricetag than most players on the team and despite being a first overall pick seems to be in the doghouse and not getting more than 10 minutes a game.

Farm Assets Ranked as Most Valuable:

1. F Sebastian Aho, CAR. 2.00
2. F Jonathan Dahlen, VAN. 0.50
3. F Klim Kostin, STL. 2.50
4. F Kole Lind, VAN. 2.00
5. F Vitali Abramov, CLB 1.00
6. F Dillon Dube, CAL. .50
7. F Jason Robertson, DAL. 2.00
8. F Logan Brown, OTT. 2.50
9. F Jaret-Anderson Dolan, LA. 2.00 +1
10. D Ian Mitchell, CHI. 1.00 -1
11. F Brett Howden, NYR. 2.50 +1
12. F Mitchell Stephens, TB. 1.00 +5
13. F Jeremy Bracco, TOR. 2.00
14. F Roope Hintz, DAL. 0.50 -1
15. F Jesper Boqvist, NJ. 1.50 -1
16. F Antoine Morand, ANA. 1.50 -1
17. F Joni Ikonen, MTL. 1.50 0 -1
18. D Connor Hobbs, WAS. 0.50
19. F David Kase, PHI. 0.50 +1

With more production at the AHL level and some room opening on the depth chart thanks to Brett Howden leaving town, Mitchell Stephens could see some 3rd and 4th line duty in TB next year if he can keep playing at this pace. A case could be made for Dillon Dube moving up and possibly moving Kostin down, but we still believe Kostin has more high end upside and skill.

Both of these lists are complied using several factors for the formula:
1. Skill Level and Progression
2. Salary
3. Age

I've watched a few NYI games recently and Sebastian Aho definitely passes the eye test. He looks pretty dynamic out there.
