He's showing strength by leading into the raiser, but the flop raise is still correct most of the time. If he flats and then checks the turn I'm not sure what you do unimproved..probably just check it back but maybe shove against some villains.

I'm OOP
sorry misread the hand, well anyway, that just makes it even more obvious that you should raise cuz his range for betting in position will be weaker. It does change the play on the turn if he calls and you miss.. I guess pushing as a default is alright then.

i would just bet. we have bd straight draws to go with out fd and overpair, so theres a lot of turn cards that can help us, while aside from the flush draw this flop is fairly dry, as only KKxx and 99xx hit (and 99xx might have a hard time going on vs. some heavy heat, but thats player dependent) and the only real draw is TJQx. but we dont have a hand we want to let free cards roll off, either, and we most often wont have position on the turn by check raising or check calling (or it getting checked through) so id go ahead and bet/reeval if you get raised.

I like the check-raise. It increases our fold equity so it seems worth the risk of letting it get checked around. Plus if we bet and get called it can be awkward on some turns because of stack sizes, but after check-raising we can profitably push any turn card.
