Temporary Nuts 1
UTG is TAG, BB is retarded, and so is button$50NL full ring, 0.25/0.50 I have the table covered. I'm playing TAGish since it's full ring... slightly more passive.I'm sitting in the SB with 9 9 :diamond:UTG limps, folds to button who limps, I complete, playing for set value and planning to C-C safe flops against reasonable bets against 1 opponent. BB checks.Pot $2Flop: K 10 9 :heart:I pot it to $2, everyone calls.Pot $10Turn: 5 :heart:I swear, check, BB checks, UTG checks, Button bets $5 and has $40ish left behind, I call with my boat redraw, BB folds, UTG calls.Pot $25River: 3 :diamond:UTG bets $8.00 and has $35 more behind, button folds... I time out and fold, he didn't show :(Terrible fold?

Insane to see a flop with 99 along with a dozen villains.

BriantheMan 0
I'm a pansy from the SB You need to be more aggressive, reraise before flop, make pot sized bet on flop, which would be more, since you raised. It actually not a bad fold. I think the key here is that you didn't raise preflop. Never go broke on a limped hand unless you have the nuts.
mtdesmoines 3
Terrible fold?Second note ... based on pot odds alone, yes.
krup24 0
i have absolutely no problem with completing preflop although sometimes i raise it depends on table dynamics. i have no problem with the c/c on the turn but I call the river. it's a pretty easy call being that the betting is coming from the button who had the turn checked to him. Acid_Knight 2
Mostly raise preflop, but calling sometimes is ok.Flop is fine. I probably bet the turn since the only thing that changed is that someone might've made a flush and you still have outs if they did. Check/call isn't the end of the world though.I call on the river. Half out of curiosity and half on hand strength and pot odds. It's a weird line for him to take with any hand that beats you and most of them that don't. Unless he turned the nut flush, I find it hard to believe that he was slowplaying a better hand on the turn after a bet and a call and that aspect of the hand alone makes me call here.
