Hey, My girlfriend just got a 4 week old teacup chihuahua and the dog is nuts. It jumps on everyone and tries to lick and bite their face. He also likes to chew on peoples shoes. I was just wondering if Mushu was like this at all and how you deal with it?

I don't have any experience with Chihuaha's but you just got to remember that he's is only 4 wks old. This is standard behavior for puppies. Just reprimand him when he does something you don't want him to do. Don't hit him just use your voice. I'm surprised you were able to get one so young. Did you get him from the pound? Most breeders won't release a puppy until at least 8 wks old. It's usually during this stage in their lives that they are learning behaviors with ther litter mates. Good luck your gonna have your hands full. Trust me I have a 10 month old Bullmastiff.Duff

We used to use a small chihuahua in a suede front-sling as an extra set of eyes and ears -- to say nothing of his vastly superior olfactory sense -- when prospecting for gold in cougar country. Actually the pumas were less of a concern than one particular grumpy old black bear which was known to be very aggressive. It was considered prudent to remain well-clear of grandfather bruin. Stewart was a great, brave little captain with alot of personality, who always did yeoman's work. We had to keep an eye up for eagles, owls and ravens, though, who in Stewart certainly they thought was waiting a fine morsel. He had a gift for charming the ladies. One glance from his watery, mournful countenance was all it took for Stewart to find himself a warm, perfumy place to nuzzle. But as soon as a lady-friend took him up for his comfort, if you looked back you'd notice, unbeknownst to her, that his expression had changed, and now Stewart was gloating, open-mouthed, like the dog who broke the bank at Monte Carlo. Stewart was eventually retired to the farm of a friend. A very busomy friend, actually, to which Stewart had attached himself after one particularly cold and rainy month in the bush.
