eh...I live 30 minutes from a pretty great poker room. I can still play. And even if this thing passes, somebody will figure a way to get around it. When there's money to be made they'll find a way to make it.
Prohibition took years to get reversed. But I'd march for this.- Jordan

Thankfully, I have Commerce Casino and The Bike like 10 minutes away in case this does pass. I wonder if they'll let me multi-table or have $3 rebuys. :club:- Crash

Just call and tell them you strongly oppose the internet gaming bill that is leeching on the port security bill.- Jordan

What exactly would this prohibit again? Transfers from credit cards and bank accounts to online gambling sights?Do we ever transfer directly to the site when we use neteller or intermediaries like that anyway?

It would KILL the action on most sites. This would be HORRIBLE for people like myself who play online for a living.

I make my living online although I live in Las Vegas, it is just nice to have these casinos around for when I do want to play live, unlike my hometown of Milwaukee. I called the number and left my message for them. I can now just cross my fingers and pray that this doesnt pass. And like Jordan said, I would march for this as well.Jeff

Be careful about calling members of Congress that aren't your representative. They don't care what you think. So either block your number and tell them you're from their state or call your Senator.

Jordan, P5's is saying it's the last thing to be voted on tonight, somewhere around 11pm. And I'm watching CSPAN-2 now, and they are voting on the US-Mexico Border Fence (the HR 6061 bill).

I'm not sure I understand. Would it mean we can't use neteller?
that's kind of unclear i think, but the point is whether you can use neteller or not, the guy that sees poker on TV and tries to play online with his CC won't be able to. fish will dry up, more sites will block US players (some have already started). This is a horrible think for poker in general, if I was American I would be doing everything I could.

None of the "Big Three" have blocked Americans, and I don't see it happening in the foreseeable future.
