Ok, I'm on monstrous tilt right now. I cannot get any action on my big hands and my bluffs keep running into huge hands. I'm a hyperaggressive player so I'm used to swings, but I honestly can't calm down after the last hand I played where I lost with 23 outs on a semibluff to a set, I can't relax. Does anyone have tips on how they calm down when they feel themselves going on tilt. Because I feel like I'm about to lose a lot more money unless I find a way

Best thing to do is just to take a break from poker for a while. Get your mind off poker and enjoy your time doing something else.

Quit poker. P.S. (and this is giving you the benefit of the doubt)2s 7h 8h 2c 2d vs 9h Th How do you have 23 outs? 9 for the flush draw8 - 2 for repeat counts = 6 for the straight draw9 + 6 = 15 outsGrade 1 was a tough one, keep trying!

another non-heart over card on the turn, gives you 25 outs to the river...that's the max you can have.

That's the point - "against a set". It depends what your definition of outs is. Outs can mean cards that improve your hand, or it can mean cards that improve you to the best hand, i.e. "live" outs.

He said he semibluffed against a set. Read the original post.

How are they outs if they aren't live?

I know, it seemed like others were saying you cannot possibly have 23 outs - in the context of the OP I agreed that he cannot - but wanted to make sure to point out it is possible in general. Just another worthless thread in general.. :club:

It's about time someone made a thread about what to do when you're steaming. This is a topic that's been screaming to be covered. My suggestion? Hang yourself.
