FCP 5/10 LHE (5-handed)Cobalt is BB w/ K3o. Just sat at the table, so no read.Pre-flop:2 folds, Button calls, SB calls, Cobalt checksFlop (3 SB): K :) K :D 7 :club: (3 players)SB checks, Cobalt checks, Button checksTurn (1.5 BB): T :D (3 players)SB checks, Cobalt checks, Button checksRiver (1.5 BB): 6 :D (3 players)SB bets, Cobalt calls, Button callsFinal Pot: 4.5 BBNot even going to really try to defend my play here other than to say that I didn't have a feel for the table and just trusted that button would take a shot at the super non-scary board (first on the flop and then on the turn). As for the river call, enough stuff came in that I figured I'd be better going for the overcall than worrying about getting 3-bet.SB showed KJo and Button mucked. So my real question...which one of us played the hand the worst?

obviously sb, especially when the turn brought a drawgood overcall on the riverAlso, how r the games at bodog? I played there last year and hated the software and didn't find too many games going on.(looking for 3/6 and 5/10 games)

Woopsie...this was FCP. That said, there's not a lot of selection to Bodog's LHE, but the game's are usually pretty soft. I spend a lot of time at 8/16 these days, but they also usually have a few 4/8 SHLHE tables going.

'yeaaahh but we still want to win it, right? I put in a bet on the turn almost always, and am probably 50/50 betting the flop. The 7s brings all sorts of hands back into the fray, and so we want to start making some money at that point. The KJ played it slightly worse, although we can't be sure about his read on the table and what it might've done to influence his actions. Nothin but love for ya bro..

You both played it pretty crap. SB should raise KJ for value there and jam. As you, I bet the turn and c/c river when he C/Rs you. You lost way too little money there :DI think SB played it worse because he missed a gazillion bets. And I was very disappointed that Checky didnt post this thread.

Can't disagree with any of that analysis. I think I usually bet this flop around 75% of the time, and I certainly bet the turn somewhere in the neighborhood of 95%. Just was a small case of FPS on my part...being used to more aggressive games where button just "has" to take a shot at this pot.
You lost way too little money there :club:
Oh, I agree. I just thought the hand was amusing since my FPS combined with his FPS saved me a bunch of money.
bodog's 8/16 game-soft enough that I should leaev some money on there to take stabs at the game?
Well, there are plenty of bad players. That particular game can give me fits though. I can pick up 30BB with ease and then drop 50BB a short time later. I'm a winner at 20/40 and 30/60 on there, but I'm probably a loser at the levels below that.If you just want to leave some money on there to take shots, I'd suggest the 4/8 games.

While we're on the subject of Bodog's 30/60 games, have you played any 30/60 on Stars? I was just wondering if Bodog's games were significantly better in any serious way. Also, how often are they going and how strong? How often would I be able to find 2 shortish tables for instance? I haven't played on Bodog in several months, but I do have an account there and I thought it might be worth a deposit if the games are good enough.

IMO, button played the hand the worst, AINEC. Open-limping on the button in a limit game, and later overcalling in a nothing pot on that river when he couldn't beat a K (and, whatever weak made hand he had, he probably should have bet either the flop or turn); whatever he had, his play was gruesome.I actually like the way you played it, given that you're playing 5/10 and have no reads (if you were playing against two known fish, of course you should be betting). But I would figure that you can expect most opponents to be more likely to bet on the flop or turn than to call. For the same reasons, I don't think SB's play is terrible either (unless he was aware of just how fishy button was). SB has slightly more reason to bet the turn than you do (as his kicker is almost certainly good). But it was just bad luck for SB that you (an unknown player to him) never bet your K. If you would have had something like Tx, he would have maximized his profit by playing as he did.

Really depends on the day and time. Like right now (4am early on Tuesday), there's one 30/60 game and it's 6-handed. I think the max number of active tables I've ever seen is three...and they vary between full and short. There are no specifically short tables of 30/60 (like there are for 20/40 and 8/16).

What's the play generally like in the 30-60 games on bodog compared to ps?

Couldn't really say definitively. I've only played 30/60 on Bodog half a dozen times...and that was back in the spring. Never checked it out on Stars.
