So I was playing in a small stakes, dealers choice home game. Five handed.Dealer calls 2-7 triple draw. I've played a bit, but probably a fish. Others at the probably even more clueless, with the exception of the dealer who called the game. He at least acted like he knew the game. Im in the sb dealt 23xxx. Everybody calls the $.50 big blind so I chuck in a quarter and draw three. BB draws three, UTG draws four, next guys draws two, and dealer draws two. I look down to see 23459. Since everybody drew so many, I thow out a pot sized bet (2.50) Dealer and one other call.I decide to stand pat and represent a big hand. Guy 1 draws two again and dealer draws one. I again put out a roughly pot sized bet (7.00) guy 1 folds and dealer raises all in for about another 7.50. So me he seemed pretty confident, and had played fairly tight all night. So, whats the plan of attack?Call and break the nine? Call and play with the nine? Folding certainy seems wrong.... but I dont know sh it so maybe it an option.

well, if you break, you're drawing to a 7 or 8, for which you have at most 7 outs since the only reason you would break would be if you think your opponent held something beating your nine (realistically, though, you're probably better off giving yourself 6 outs since a third player was around for awhile). 7 outs getting 3:1 doesn't cut it, so folding is better than breaking.depending on how bad these guys are, though, a nine could conceivably be good. but i'd probably be tossing this as a general line. you played it right until then, though.

Checky is spot on...this is why pot limit triple draw is often a race to get pat first. If people bet correctly, you cant draw to ~6 outers. It's pat or fold here, and its pretty opponent dependent. If you opponent is tight and wouldnt shove before the last draw with a 9, then its a fold.
