Avs, A perfect score on the ACT is 36, so a 35 is an amazing score (which Im sure he really achieved). As for the flaming, its not so much that I wanted to flame him, but I wanted to get the stupid posts out of the fish thread so that it could get back to its roots.

I have lived in missouri my whole life and have heard a grand total of zero people call truman state the harvard of the midwest. Wash U is a much much more respected school than truman state. And honestly the ACT is easy, 35 is good but it doesnt make anyone a genius. My graduating class had >150 people and we had 2 people score 35+ and 15 score 30+.The science and reading comprehension parts are almost a joke, a 6th grader could pass them.

I had a friend with a man-crush on Truman. He called it the 'Harvard of the midwest.' I actually go to Truman, and I haven't heard anyone call it that here so I don't think its really that common. Its a good school though, so don't judge it based on the actions of one spammer.

Probably. Wash U. actually has a claim to the title though, its an absolutly fantastic school. I was actually planning on attending there until I found out how much money Truman was giving me.

I am a senior here, you are a freshman, nopunk . No offense, but the professors say it ALL THE TIME in my classes. Seriously, a ton of people in the area refer to it as the Harvard of the Midwest..you will hear it eventually, trust me

Agreed. My 18th birthday was the day before the ACT, so of course I got hammered and I got a 33 running on 2 hours of "sleep". The hardest part was holding back the vomit during the test. I think the term "genius" is too loosely used these days. While 35 is a good score, and probably top 1% of students, most people graduating high school are pretty dumb, so it's not hard to be near the top like that.
