from top 5 to out (pokerstars $10 + r nlhe mtt)

I was on top of my game in this damn tournament and in the top 5 in chips until this sequence. Had a long way to go, I busted around 65th, but with a $14K first prize (amazing that these prize pools are this huge in a $10 + rebuy tourney), it sure was frustrating. I guess I'll just have to learn the famous saying, "that's poker."Hand # 229PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t6000 (9 handed) MP3 (t106151)Hero (t116718)Button (t37084)SB (t27372)BB (t82515)UTG (t49740)UTG+1 (t24488)MP1 (t75724)MP2 (t130742)Preflop: Hero is CO with [Td], [Ah]. 1 fold, UTG+1 raises to t24188, 3 folds, Hero calls t24188, 3 foldsFlop: (t50776) [4d], [Js], [9d]Turn: (t50776) [7h]River: (t50776) [3c]Final Pot: t50776Final Pot: t50776UTG+1 has As 3d (one pair, threes). The only thing you have going for you is that nobody else called.Hand # 244PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t8000 (9 handed) CO (t508764)Hero (t69630)SB (t45502)BB (t206305)UTG (t188219)UTG+1 (t55922)MP1 (t152380)MP2 (t68993)MP3 (t52549)Preflop: Hero is Button with [Qc], [As]. 4 folds, MP3 raises to t52149, 1 fold, Hero raises to t69230, 2 folds.Flop: (t124179) [2d], [Kc], [5cTurn: (t124179) [Js]River: (t124179) [Qs] Final Pot: t124179MP3 has Th Ad (straight, ace high). Thenyou got sucked out...THAT"S poker! There was absolutely no reason for you to be involved in those first two hands you posted. Silly mistakes like that will cost you more times than they will help you. Have you read Harrington on Hold'em (Volume I or II)? If not, you NEED to NOW! If you have, you need to RE-READ it NOW!!!

I agree with you on the 2nd hand, definitely could have found a better opportunity. I called the first hand because the raiser took a beat a few hands ago and this was his 3rd all-in in a row. I'm curious though, knowing that do you still think the 1st hand should be an easy laydown. Looking back on it I'm tempted to agree with you, considering that players on tilt still pick up good hands. And no I haven't read HoH yet, but I think my wife is going to hook me up for my birthday and I'm looking forward to using it to improve my MTT game, because it definitely needs work.
