  1. The Borgata is the place to go for class. I've never been to Veags, but they say the Borgata room hangs with the best Vegas has to offer. *note. the Borgata is in the marina area of AC and makes it a bit of a pain to get to the other casinos...everything else is on the boardwalk. You cant beat the Taj for action. There are always multiple 1-2 NL tables running. Though, mid-week this time of the year, the tables are going to be chalked full of locals. The Wild Wild West of all places has nightly SNG's. $50 + $15. Lots of idiots in those games.Caesars poker room is one of my fav's. Super
  2. I've stayed at a few places...Taj -- Very nice room. I think i saw it for all of 6 hours for the weekend. Crazy over priced at $300+ per night.Bally's -- Not as nice as Taj but better off season rates. If you dont mind the drive (10-15mins) look into the hotels on the Whitehorse Pike in Absecon. Its your regular who's-who of national hotel chains. You should be able to grab a room at the Motel 6, Comfort, Days, etc... for no more than $99 per night (Friday is always cheaper than Saturday).Good luck and dont think there isnt fantastic action at some of the lesser known rooms (Trop, caesar'
  3. I dont know why I am even wasting a post on this...PokerStars is not rigged. They have way too much on the line to risk losing it all to mess with players by rigging the hands. Call Moneymaker, Raymer, and Hacheem one hit wonders if you want, but you cant deny that the last three world champions have aligned themselves with stars. If they was any chance of rigging, to you think these guys would put their names on the line? Also, many of the world's top players play on stars. The 3 world champs, Gus, Marcel, Daniel, Gank, Riverloser...I could run off another 50 names, but you get the point
  4. I am in the video game business. I would love to know where the OP got the info that Stacked has gone gold...I can not find this anywhere. Regardless, there are a million reasons why they should delay. Releasing in February sets Stacked apart from all of the other games coming this Holiday season. This week alone, there are 13 new releases scheduled for Xbox. 5. I was at the Taj last month. I was playing at the craziest, most loose table I have ever seen. You never saw a flop for less than $15.00 and almost always had 3-4 players on every flop. This would have been a dream table if I would have had enough money to handle the swings...Anyway, I saw a guy at this table laydown Kings after he was raised, re-raised, and then an all in after his initial raise. The remaing 3 players had pocket 10's and 2 players had AK. The tens took the pot. Because I was short on cash for this table, I was playing crazy tight. Shoot, I was almost playing the Smasha
  6. Thanks for the imput everyone. I think everyone has some issues with playing pocket Jacks...I know I do. I agree that I misplayed every street except the river. Next time will be different. Hey...Thanks for not flaming to the max!!
  7. Hands like this are so frustrating. I limp from EP in hopes of making a re-raise. With a raise and a handful of callers, I decided there wasnt any value in re-raising. I need a Jack on the flop and I got it. With 2 hearts on the board, do I need to bet this flop? I raised the turn for a few reasons. I am scared of the flush. Raising lets me know quickly where I stand and may give me a free river. Is there anything wrong with that play? The big question is should I have called his river bet? He over bet the pot by 25%. Seems to me he was either defending a small hand or busted draw, or
  8. Honestly, you are kidding...Right???
  9. DN was at my table, or was I at his?? Either way it was awesome to play with one of the best in the world.I raised his BB a handful of times with big Aces and pocket pairs...He never defended. With blinds at 50-100 we saw a flop of 10 10 X heads up. We both checked. The turn was another blank. I threw out a bet of $200. DN folded.
  10. I have decided to pick up poker tracker, but of course I do not want to pay for it. I'll use pokersourceonline.com, clear their bonus and get the software. My question is, of the following, which site should I choose to play on to clear the bonus. I will be playing $50.00 no limit.PokerroomTitanBodogPoker RewardsGolden PalaceCaribbean SunI have accounts with all of the other sites. Thanks for the imput.Edit: I almost forgot...Who wants the PSO referal the most??
  11. Play results, not odds.If I only had a crystal ball to go with my tinfoil hat...
  12. No.... it is not.According to the cardplayer.com odds calculator it is.The picture is small, but the %'s are 66 32.4%AJ 35.5%K8 32.1%Maybe I missed something, but if that isnt a race, I dont know what is.
  13. I folded...There was a very good chance that player 1 held AK, AQ, or even KQ suited and I was fairly certain that player 2 was gambling with any 2 cards, but I decided to fold and live to see another day.Player 1 called played 2. P1 showed AJ and P2 turned over K8.Flop: 662 OUCH!Oh well. I didnt feel bad about the flop. Once you are out...You are out. BTW the turn was an 8. The short stack raked in a nice little $73.00 pot.
  14. Here is the situation...1/2 NL live at the Tropicana in AC. Cueball194, seat 4 $225.00Player 1, Seat 6 $300.00+Player 2, Seat 9 $55.00The table is playing tight / aggressive. Most hands will cost you $15.00 to see a flop with 2-3 players max.I am dealt :diamonds6: :clubs6: . I bet $15.00. UTG+1 foldsPlayer 1 raises to $30.00. Seats 7&8 fold.Player 2 re-raises to $55.00 and is all-in. Seats 10-3 (including the blinds) fold to me.What do I do?I am facing a raise and a re-raise. I am not terribly worried about the short stack, he has seen $45.00 come into the pot before him and may ve
