0.25/0.50 full ring-game on Partypoker. You ($60) have AcAs. Seat 5 ($50) calls. You are on the button and raise to $2.50. SB calls, Seat 5 calls. Flop 9c 7s 2d. SB and Seat 5 check. You bet $6 into $8. SB folds. Seat 5 calls. Turn 9c 7s 2d 7h. Seat 5 checks. You bet $12 into $20. He raises to $24. Only read is that he is slightly loose, but that applies to msot at this level. What to do?

Baluga theorem on 2+2 states that one pair hands generally are beaten by a turn raise. That said, you have two pair on the turn here. It would depend a lot on the villain. I can't see him playing really anything that you beat this way and chances are (because it's Party), he'll show up with some kind of 7 here often, if not a full house. It's a close fold I think.

Every time I come across situations like this, I tell myself I should fold because it seems too stupid for the to try and "rep" a 7 here. I somehow convince myself that they don't have the 7 and I shove and I get isntacalled by a 7. Unless you have a pretty solid read that they're an idiot, this is a close fold as Snamuh stated.

Fold, getting almost 5-1 against a loose player with AA?
This isn't the river. There's an implied threat of a large river bet. We're saying it's close but more often than you'd think, you're beaten pretty soundly here.

lol Matt, I'm exactly the same.No way he has the 7 here, ok, I shove... boom, 72o. Damn.I fold, in theory.
It's like the HSP hand from this week with DN vs David Benyamine. I mean, there's literally no hand he's raising here that we beat that isn't a bluff unless he's stupid enough to think that he's value raising 9x here.FTR, that hand was hilarious when DB finally shoved and he saw DN's reaction. He threw his hands into the air like he won a gold medal or something :club:

that was greatI think he won a pie but had eaten it by the time the camera was back on him.As for this hand- Min raises are rarely bluffs, plus as everyone has said you still face a river bet most likely. Folding is the safe play, but if your read is that you are ahead don't raise just call. Let him bluff off more chips on the river.

Afer watching him in HSP I have so much more respect for his game.
I think he has really evolved into my favorite poker player over the last 3 years. Either that or Phil Laak still reigns supreme.
