The Canadian Poker Open is a smaller buy-in event. $2,700. It will be held at Fallsview Casino Resort October 21st - 24th. This event will be played down to the final table of 9 players and then completed October 29th or 30th. Satellites for this tournament are being held at Casino Niagara only!!The North American Poker Championship is the 2nd event being held at Fallsview Casino Resort. It will be a $10,300 buy-in held October 26th to October 29th. When this tournament is completed, the final table for the Canadian Poker open will be held the next day. Satellites for the NAPC are being held at Fallsview Casino Resort only!!The reason for the staggered schedule is this: the WPT requires 1 full day to set up their Final Table set (all the lights, trusses, etc.). So, in the Avalon Ballroom, the Canadian POker Open will play down to the final nine players. Then the NAPC will play down to the final 27 players (three tables). The tournament will then relocate for one day to the 365 Club adjacent to the Poker Room in the Fallsview casino. One full day of play will get down to the final 9 players and allow the WPT to convert the Avalon Ballroom into the TV stage it needs to be. The following day, the Final Table of the NAPC will be held in the ballroom, on the WPT set. When that tournament is complete, the Final Table of CPO will be filmed on the same set in the ballroom (either the same day or the following day). The satellites for the NAPC offer several ways to play the "Main Event". See the options by clicking here.
