A recruiter reached out to me about a position at a credit union. Would be a small raise on base but it has the potential for a 16% bonus. I basically told him not really interested but to keep me in mind for other positions with a higher salary range and also work from home opportunities and not in St Paul which is a nightmare to commute to.

As part of a lawsuit dismissal we have to open up a branch in a more...urban...area which is going to be pretty close to where I live (because Iím a poor). Hopefully, there will be some office space and my boss will let me work from there once or twice a week like the other analyst gets to, except weíre selling that branch in July so heíll probably start coming in every day, which is a bummer because I donít really care for him.

funny, i had a recruiter call me at the office yesterday. i told her i find it gauche to recruit someone on his office line and to send me a message on linkedin like everyone else. she did, and now i'm going to ice her out as a teaching moment. seriously though the job isn't something i would even consider. but still, the balls to call someone at their current job to talk like that.

I had a recruiter do that to me once, too. Told them to never contact me again.

I respect the guy's hustle. Sounds like you two don't have any hustle, and wouldn't be a good fit for his company anyway.

It would also require me to move to Mobile, Alabama. Enough said on that, I believe.

Despite fitting in perfectly there, you're still against it?
I'd lend a hand, but it's stuck in the fist and gun position.

I donít know if I would be interested in Mobile either. Itís not a very big city. I would absolutely move to the middle of nowhere if the money were right, donít get me wrong.

For the past 20 years or so, I've pretty much weighed between 120-130 barring extended illness or working out a ton.
