gfdsa146 0
BB has been weak/passive thus far. He's c/c some of my bets on the flop with mid pair or something like that. I've played with him for about 4-5 orbits. So when he raises the flop, I think he's got 2-p or better, giving me enormous implied odds. Well now that i think about it, 2-p might not pay me off on a straight-ish board, but lets assume that villian is a donk-payoff-wizard like everyone is at these stakes. And a set can still boat up even if i hit. Anyway, I want to know, do you think that it was right for me to call the flop bet?By the looks of it, that smallish bet on the turn SCREAMS boat or quads to me. Then the p-sized bet on teh river says quads too. I know that if i felt he had a boat on the turn, I should have folded.....but I guess I wanted my read to be wrong. And the bet was so small...PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)CO ($4.60)Button ($2.94)Hero ($5.93)BB ($1.02)UTG ($2.11)MP ($1.60)Preflop: Hero is SB with 6 , 4 . 1 fold, MP calls $0.02, CO calls $0.02, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.Flop: ($0.08) 5 , 8 , 3 (4 players)Hero bets $0.04, BB folds, MP calls $0.04, CO raises to $0.12, Hero calls $0.08, MP calls $0.08.Turn: ($0.44) 3 (3 players)Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets $0.16, Hero calls $0.16, MP calls $0.16.River: ($0.92) 8 (3 players)Hero checks, MP checks, CO bets $0.76, Hero folds, MP folds.Final Pot: $0.
NoBBiR 0
I think I'd raise the turn. His bet is pretty weak.
gfdsa146 0
I think I'd raise the turn. His bet is pretty weak.I dont want to raise him. I'm not a favorite over even one pair on the turn. He's already shown, by his bet/raise-once-every-century standards, huge strength on the flop. The turn bet looks like him v-towning me. I dont know what I could represent anyway with a turn raise. Why would you raise the turn?
No_Neck 0
I think I'd raise the turn. His bet is pretty weak.above me he gives some pretty good reasons why raising the turn is stupid
Zach6668 513
Raising the turn sucks. This is perfect, imo.
AcesOnFire 0
From my experience of players at this level (12k hands), one of the standard profiles is that they will bet a strong hand weakly to keep people in the pot and then bet an awful lot on the end hoping that everyone who has called so far will call again. In conclusion, you played it perfectly.
