  1. does anyone have any information on this weekly tourny held at Borgata (# entrants, payouts, type of play to expect)? It is a 50000 guarantee with a 250 +30 buy-in. thanks in advance
  2. Funny you say this Daniel, but as I pointed out on NWP, you made the complete opposite argument when you were on the OTHER end of the "stack" in your lame "tourist" post. The one where you so proudly claimed how great a guy you were by giving all the tourist at a 5/10 game a chance to flip their entire stack (trip money/mortgage money, etc) for a chance at your 150k stack. Funny, but back then you seemed to think that the short stacks were the one with the "big" advantage! Seems a bit hypocritical to me.So, what again were you trying to teach? He was trying to teach you how to think.First off,
  3. I wont go into details, but i had to send in a scanned copy of my DL to party to get my account unfrozen. I didn't feel comfortable giving them my DL number so i blacked out a portion of it, but didn't change my birthday or any other information. They never said a thing. Not exactly the same situation but just evidence that they may not check into your DL number.
  4. civil engineeringif a trend does exist, which i don't think does, i would guess that it favors engineering based upon the problem solving skills that are necessary for both the field and poker
  5. Sounds like "point break"... are you sure Keanu wasnt around?/i'm just kidding ron.. thats crazy , i woulda poo poo mcmuffined my pants for sure.hilarious
  6. Agreed...gonna be doing any playing while there Jason? I might be heading out with some friends, if the trip comes to fruition ill contact you. I know im just an FCP nobody, but hey maybe we can get a game going in someone's room if you don't get your hands on a fake soon.
  7. whats the deal, hah, we should put together some young gunz vs old timers turny on this site, just thought of it.yea..sorry about that, was logged in and a drunk friend of mine wandered through and posted that. he has a major problem with young kids playing poker for some reason. appologies.
  8. i love this. another "im tooting my own horn" post. no offense kid, but you set yourself up for disappointment.
  9. I would assume that their reason for ruling it a chop is because the traditional rules for Hold 'Em state that you utilize the cards to make THE BEST FIVE CARD HAND. If a player plays the board then those cards are his best five card hand, despite what the player was holding. Showing his cards in that situation is like making a moot point.
  10. Technically?? Technically Raymer has won the Main Event, by no means does that make him a better player. If we followed this logic, Raymer is "technically" a better player than all main event entrants that haven't won it before, including pros such as Ivey, Juanda, and Daniel. I agree with you that Raymer sometimes does not get the credit he may deserve, but Daniel's long term success and credentials by far outmatch those of Raymer. And I'm not just saying this because this is Daniel's forum.

  12. i completely agree. Its time to quit when the problem can still be rectified. Yoy may have a gambling problem, try contacting a gambling hotline for help. In terms of your money, DO NOT TRY TO WIN IT BACK. This method has obviously not worked for you before. I suggest taking out some sort of college loan and paying your tuition with. Find someone (parent, friend, etc) to keep an eye on you so you don't try playing poker with it.
  13. isn't a rainbow flop three different suits? i think you're wrong.
  14. this may sound odd, but i don't think of my opponent as lucky if he outdraws me. As long as there is any chance, any fraction of a percent, that he can win and does, then I feel as though it was just his "turn" to win a hand. Percentages exist to represent possiblities given a certain amount of "attempts" (hands in the poker sense). If my opponent has a 1% chance of winning hand (by pretty much drawing perfect) and does, I have to realize that this hand was the proverbial 1 in 100 in which he would win in the given situation. if I keep this mentallity, i must conclude that it is my timin
