Don't look at the link first, think about what you will do first. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_magazine/a...4835&m_id=65567You are at a $55 PLO8 online tournament, you are in MP holding A :club: 3 :) J :D Q :D , two limpers beforeu and you didn't raise because there were two suckers behind you and you wanted them in. They didn't so it's a 5-way action. The flop came 2 :) 2 :D 4 :). The small blind bet the pot size of $250. Everyone folded and Cappelletti Called.Yeap, he called. Would you have called? If Smash is reading this, he will probably be roaring like this,"What the hell is the call for? You don't have the nut high draw, all you have is a low-draw which could be easily counterfeited. And your just chasing for half of the pot... you are terrible..."That's PROBABLY. OK, suppose you called, what range of hands do you think SB have? The turn was a 7. SB bet $500 (the pot was $750), Cappelletti gave him a hell of a pot-raise (a total bet of $2250)."Oh man, you've got only half of the pot at best, you have no high, and your nut low could be easily counterfeited... Even if you still had the nut-low by the river, it could be easily 1/4'd... you are a moron..."Nah I am just kidding, in fact some good players would do the same just like what Cappelletti did. Why?I put SB had no low hands (or very weak the best) and for his high, he had a duece at best, he may had two pairs or a flush draw and that's pretty much about it. The 7 couldn't help him. When Cappelletti played back at him, he had no choice but folded because from his point of view, his opponent can easily have A2 plus another low card which were good enough to scoop the entire pot.Now say if you were the SB holding a duece but no low draw or very weak low cards, would you have played it differently? Now read the article and please discuss. I would love to hear it from Smash too.
