FYP. Though election turn outs where higher than normal, Still, only a fraction of eligible voters voted. While the election of a black president is certainly progress, I'm sure it also will be more fuel to the angry white male's claim that racism is a non issue in america anymore.
There will continue to be racism as long as there are different colored people on this earth. It always has been this way and always will. It is this way on all parts of the world...all this election proves is that we can stop focusing on if Blacks are able to get ahead or not. it is obvious they can.BTW racism goes in both directions, hell we have a racist as president elect.now can we go back to watching Barak solve all of the worlds problems in his first 90 days.

Yes, this is horrible, this post.

Turns out I'd do, what I've always done, cash farm subsidy checks and compulsively masturbate.

The majority didn't vote against him. The majority stayed home.   The GOP candidate had less votes in 2016 than in 2012 or 2008, when they lost both times.   Dems (and repubs) just HATED Hillar

EVERY CONSERVATIVE LISTEN CLOSELY.The keeping the 60% major majority out of the hands of the democrats is larger than losing the general election. This will hopefully keep any radical socialist programs at bay.Of all the things that Obama has said publicly, by far the scariest is his citizen brigade that will be as well armed, manned and funded as our military. This is how Adolf Hitler took power with his SA that overtook the military. I don't say this lightly. I am not throwing out hyperbole. I am not saying that is what is going to happen here, but the similarities in ideals is frightening. I can't help repeating the same cliche':"Those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it"
this coming from the guy who doesnt see a problem with religious government rule. im going to laugh at this too. lol.

So, I was just flipping through the channels, and I happened upon the start of Oprah.. If you want a good laugh, check her out today, she's screaming like a banshee. So much for winning with dignity.
Yep, me too. And of course the first speakers on her panel called this a "win for the black community" and then included others. How long until Rev. Wright and the others Obama has distanced himself from in the past months, start to filter back in?

Never. Rev. Wright is political kryptonite, and he's forever going to be banished from Obama's loop. If there's one thing Obama is, it's an incredibly smart politician. He know Write is a liability at this point.

would you like to bet Wright will reappear at some time..?
I really cant see that happening. BHO has started preparing for the 2012 election, and that would be too damning. The next GOP candidate won't let him get away with the nonsense he did this time.

I hope you are right, but I think you are wrong. I give it six months from today, Rev. Wright will be back in Obama's camp in some capacity.

I depends on what you mean by "reappear". Do I think he'll show up, and make comments about BO and his presidency, and in general use this election as a vehicle for self promotion? yes I do. Do I think he'll welcome back into the ranks of BO's inner circle, becoming his version of Billy Graham or something, no I certainly do not. BO may be sympathetic to Wright's political view, but BO's too smart to ever let it publicly be known in any overt way.EDIT: If Wright were to reappear, it would be after BO one the 2012 election, 'cause then he could free roll.

100 percent correct.

100 percent wrong. You people seem to be under the impression that Obama is a fcking idiot, instead of one of the most savvy politicans we've ever seen ( and I don't use " savvy politician" as a complement, for the record. I think it is dishonest to turn your back on a man you obviously like and who's views you share, at least to some degree, for pure political gain. But Obama is into pure political gain, have no doubt about that. )

This is exactly how I felt about Clinton, too, and why I was very afraid of him as president. But it turns out that it is the exact reason why he was 10X better than the presidents before and after him. This Bush-Clinton-Bush cycle has thrown my views of the relevance of character into a bit of turmoil. It seems like character should matter, but results matter more.

Please don't lump me in with them. LOL I think Obama is a political GENIUS and I 100% agree with your definition of "savvy politician". However, I think his past relations with Wright are VERY important to him and a huge foundation for where he is now. And because he is a political genius and a savvy politician, I believe he'll figure out a way to bring Wright back into his fold.Maybe it's because I didn't switch Oprah off, but I'm feeling very nervous at the prospect of Obama as president. I can't find any where that is celebrating this as a win for America instead of a win for blacks. I find the posters from Kenya saying "We're on our way to the White House now" to be alarming. And before someone calls me a racist, I can honestly say that I would have voted for Colin Powell over any candidate on the ballot. There are just so many details in Obama's life that give me the willies.

So, is what you're trying to say is that Obama's presidency is the world's greatest 419 scam?

I think honesty and integrity are at best irrelevant in the making of an effective president and at worst are detriments.

Really. Every thing I've seen on all the channels on Dish Network shows tons and thousands of African Americans celebrating a win for the black community. Please find me a group of white Americans that are celebrating this election..........I'd love to see it.

I'm totally lost on the 419 reference, and please note that I haven't yet called this a presidency. I'm not convinced that Obama will ever spend the first night in the White House as president. What I am saying is that I have yet to find a leopard that can change his spots permanantly.

And for those who are so blind to think that he will govern as a centrist, he's offered Rahm Emanuel chief of staff. Not that that was ever in question, just the first of many debts he owes the far left Chicago political machine.
