New show on NBC with Cee Lo, Christina Agulaiaflekara, Blake Shelton (no idea who he is), and Adam Levine are the "coaches"I think I like it so far.
Im recording it, I'll give it a shot.

Watched the show, I enjoyed it. The one thing I wonder is "why are some of these singers missing from Idol?" I know that a few them are too old. Did these people just not try out for Idol? Makes you wonder how many good singers are out there who are not on these shows.

I thought it was ok. From the first episode it seems like the fat white kid was by far the best. It is an interesting concept, the celebrities have to choose if they want them before seeing what they look like. The flaw with the show is that America will be voting and we do get to see what they look like. So we'll see if America will vote for the chick with the huge unibrow or the bald lesbian even if they turn out to be the best singers. Also, the choosing of the coach has to be rigged to make everything even, so I don't know how NBC took care of that. They mentioned that the Frenchie chick auditioned for American Idol. She didn't just audition, she made it on the show but was kicked off because they found out she was in a porno.

I think it's because some of them are "too experienced" for Idol, and I don't necessarily just mean the age thing.I know one of the last guys Javier Colon that sang "Time After Time" had a record deal with Capitol Records at one point.

Something I read about the show, it wasn't shown or said how the contestants were picked. It's not like Idol where we know they all lined up and went through auditions. Were these people handpicked by the producers as the "best" singers? Did they purposely pick the bald lesbian to add to the "judges can't see the singer" premise? Did they pick the other girl just to get back at idol? It kind of takes a little from the show but in general I liked this round. I probably won't be watching it after next week though

People had to be handpicked as being very good because even the singers who didn't get picked weren't bad. It looked like they didn't want the audition process to take a long time so they picked people who were already accomplished instead of auditioning everyone for months like idol does.

Definitely think this show is sooooooo much better than American Idol. They basically sing any song they want, most are songs of this freakin decade. I don't have to hear Randy yell out, "He's in it to win it!!" every damn time!! I really like Blake, think he's pretty funny.

I enjoy this show.Xenia might be the worst singer ever to appear in anything past audtions for any show of it's type. Why is everyone so nice to her? How the heck was she picked in her Battle round?I also loved the Heartless rendition by Dia, I am also in love with Dia.

Disagree on Xenia. She is EXTREMELY nervous and young. Her voice is unique and haunting and I think she can be amazing if they help her and get her to sing the right songs for her type of voice.

fair enough, she may have an amazing voice, but the two performances (her battle round, and then the Quarter finals) were horrendous. Yes, she was extremely nervous, and she seems nice and I feel really bad for her, but you can't use nerves for an excuse for a terrible performance in a show like this.

I think C-lo and Adam have the better singers by far.
Agreed, Adam's team is particularly strong. Christina's team is particularly weak (imo)

Loved the version of Heartless by Dia.
Really? I thought it was interesting but the phrasing seemed way off to me. Her voice seemed to go way off in spots making some of the lyrics hard to hear. I give her credit for trying something different with it, but I thought it was one of the worst versions I've heard.

I thought it was a lot better this week since there were stronger performers. It is obvious who will make it through from Adam and Cee-lo's team. Vicki and Nakia from Cee-lo's team and Jeff and Javier from Adam's team. I'd be shocked if someone different made it.Blake had a tough decision because the 3 left from his team were pretty weak. I think I would have gone with the country guy over Xenia, but I'm glad Xenia went through anyways. The group performances are pretty painful to watch. Fast forward!Christina's fake tits are still the stars of the show.

There is something fishy about this show. How are people voted off prior to the performances on the same night? Did the people who got sent home have to prepare a song, to ultimately not sing it? Also, how does Adam keep the chick and not the fat kid?I did like the performances tonight. I also like how this show doesn't drag on for months like American Idol. If someone has one not so good performance they most likely are gone immediately.
