  1. All,I've been playing Pokerstars SNG almost exclusively the past 6 months (I was Party Poker player before). My SNG stats: 12+1 (6 handed) = 380 games, 24% ROI15+1 Turbo (9 handed) = 20 games, -12% ROI23+2 (6 handed) = 5 games, 33% ROI Overall = 405 games, 17% ROIPreviously on Party my ROI for SNG's was similiar; over about 2000 games was probably between 17% and 22% so I'm guessing my current ROI in 12+1 6 handed games is a little high. I'm guessing my ROI at these levels over the long term is 17% - 20%.I digress...I hate playing the Turbo's because I don't think they are Poker and early r
  2. agree, raise to $500 pre-flop.I think the flop bet should be closer to $1,000 and then the turn bet is 2/3 pot or approx. $2,000. Totally agree with others, checking the river is solid. Even if you lose you still have 30x bb left, no reason to bet to get check raised
  3. Ben,Nice hand...one question though, " Other than maybe not raising preflop, why did the villian play the hand so bad?"Preflop: Probably can make a good argument for villian to raise or re-raise the hero with QQ out of positionFlop: Villian is getting 2-1 to call with overpair and draw to 3rd best flush and it's possible that Hero is doing a continuation bet...I think folding is bad and calling is ok...are you suggesting the villian should've pushed here or folded?Turn: Villian obviously hit his money card...the check raise gives the hero odds to call with almost any reasonable holding and
  4. Donkslayer,I don't see how how 4 orbits (40 hand?) is enough time to have a tight read on a playerAA is getting paid off by 77 99.9% of the time on this board no matter how you play AA especially with 4 orbit readNice pot ;o)
  5. copernicus,I've read Slansky and I generally agree. Right or wrong, I slowplayed thinking I have a monster. However, when he came back for all his chips it made me question how big a hand I had. If he is any kind of player, why would he risk all his chips on a bluff...the pot was only $700 so he could have easily bet $500 - $700 and folded to my re-raise. Why would he risk all his chips? His is either an idiot or he's got a monster and wants a call from a weak K.Do you not take into account chip sizes of both villians? For example:Option A: Call his all in... let's assume 65% you win the
  6. simo, I thought so too initially but then I started to think...there are hands that he has that we beat that he could play this way (K2, K3, K4, AA, QQ, JJ, 1010, 99) but there are also hands we lose to he could play this way (K8, K9, K10, KJ, KQ, AK, 55, 66)You would think he would've raised a pocket pair preflop but it's possible he didn't. Let's assume he didn't and the hand he likely has are the 16 I stated above. You are 50/50 against a random hand from the 16. If you fold you are still in a position to win and/or be in the money. If you call you are 50/50 (assuming range of hands abo
  7. Hi all,Had this hand come up 2 nights ago and thought I'd solicit for opinions. On Pokerstars, $12 +$1 6 handed SNG. Payout is $47 for 1st and $25 for 2nd.3 people left. Chip counts:Me: 3,400Villian 1: 3,400Villian 2: 1,200Blinds at 75/150Reads: Both players appear to be decent but nothing spectacular...Hero dealt: K7os in SBVillian 2 folds, Hero calls, Villian 1 checksPot: $300Flop: K, K, 5Hero bets $150, Villian 1 callsPot: $700Turn: 6 (board is rainbow)Hero checks to induce a bluff, Villian goes all-in ( I got what I wanted I think), Hero ???You've got $3,000 left if you fold but y
  8. Party announced it, I read an article that Pokerstars was planning too...if I have my facts wrong, just say so...don't be on of those internet tough guys...I' haven't been on the site in a few months (hence, apologizing ahead of time)If there is a post, I asked someone to post it so I didn't waste anyone's time. If you don't want to post or respond, just don't say anything. There's no need to be rude...Thanks
  9. All,I apologize if this has been covered (if so, someone please post the link) but with Pokerstars and Party Poker announcing they will suspend US accounts, which sites should we be moving too? Paradise, Full Contact, etc...Just trying to understand what my options are...anyone have any input?Regards,Rusty
  10. The Nuts,I agree...making a habit of playing 97sooooooted is probably not the best way to play but I think hands like that are relatively easy to play. Many times you'll get heads up and the flop will miss your opponent and a bet wins it, or you get called by 4 or 5 players and if you hit the flop big, your hand is well disguised. If you miss, and get any resistance...easy foldEvery now and then I like to mix it up.Regarding this hand, I think you can definitely make a case for folding pre-flop but I also think you can make a case for raising (calling would be bad IMO).On the flop, I put him
  11. login to Party Poker...click on the Bonus offer link...sorry about the spam like title...just help to everyone out...Abba and another actually mentioned this strategy in anther thread but I tried it and it worked so well I wanted to share with everyone

  13. It's been mentioned on here before but the $50 bonus promotion on Party Casino is the easiest Bonus ever. All you have to do is wager $50 and you clear the bonus.Just do this: Accept the $50 bonus...download the roulette game...place $24 on Red, $24 on Black $1 on Green 0 and $1 on Green 00.I think worst case you win $36 and best case you win $48 bonus cleared easy money. I bet $50 and won $48 in 5 min...greatness.Thanks to the person that posted this strategy earlier...just wanted to share this with those that may not know about this strategy.
  14. How I would've played:Fold preflop to raise, re-raiseHow I would've played if I called preflopBet the pot on the flopPush all-in on the turnRiver would be a moot pointHow I would've played the hand up to the river:check/fold the river...i agree with the above poster...you cannot check the flop, 2 sooted and you have an A or K...this is perfect flop, your hand is disguised (what idiot calls raise/re-raise with 55 )...you are going to get action from AK or AA...bet the hell out of this one.
