Thought I'd do a little poll...I again will be focusing on cash games, but like I said before I'm going to try and play more MTT. I played the most I have in a long time during August and I plan to keep the habit going for September.I hope to have a $10k+ month, with support coming mostly from cash game success and a few tourney scores.GL2U.- Jordan

Starting BR: $1,653.44I will also continue to focus on the NL cash games. It's going to be hard for me to set a numerical goal, but the idea will be to play as many hands as I can, while balancing school work, etc, and I hope to maintain a 10 ptbb/100 winrate in my 100 NL games, as I start to multitable a lot more. I've actually jumped from an average of 2-4, to being able to do 9 on my laptop. I managed to find a way to get the Stars tables to shrink and overlap effectively, so I want to see how much that negatively effects my wr, while increasing my hourly rate.I think, being able to do 9 now, I'll be able to get in a ton of hands in a lot less time, so I suspect my total hands played to actually increase, even with school. I hope to play about 20-25k hands for the month, and, if I can keep my winrate around 10 ptbb/100, I should hope to make $4000-$5000 at $100 NL.I might get ambitious and mix in some $200 NL when my BR gets between $4000 and $5000, but I've yet to decide on that yet.I will also probably need to skim from the BR slightly to finish paying off the end of my debts. I still owe ~$750 for my car repairs, and $1000 on my VISA. I'd really like to have that paid off by the end of the month.I'm also going to have to spend about $2500 on tuition, but I won't have to pay that until Jan, so I'll probably let that ride in my BR until then (assuming I don't break even for the rest of my life). I may also need to take some out to buy books coming soon, but we'll see.I also plan on playing a few MTT's, as I'm looking to improve my game.I'm still considering trying to satellite into some WCOOP events. My few attempts so far have been unsuccesful. If I'm running well, and I'm not too busy, I may consider buying directly into one of the cheaper events, and taking a bit of a shot, but it's a long shot that I'd do that. Also, I'm probably going to take that Mansion bet on the Steelers, so hopefully I'll be able to add $1000 to my BR from that. I'd like to get my working BR up to about $2100 ASAP before I have to have that money tied up for a couple weeks though.Anyways, good luck to all in September, both at the tables, and at school, if applicable.- Zach

I'd really like to score something nice in a tournament, but I'll probably continue to focus mostly on cash games. I'm currently "taking shots" back at 8/16 SHLHE and 2/4 NLHE, so I hope to have the roll fully recovered to play those levels comfortably by the end of the month.

My Sept. Goals.-I'm mostly a SNG player due to my low bankroll, so Goal #1 is to keep my ROI at a respectable percentage.-BR of $200 (started from my depleted roll of around $80)-Work on cash game play-Keep a good winrate at PLO.

Long time goal thread reader. first time poster.so anyways...i have just turned 21, and jumped head first into playing live poker. i play 2/5nl holdem at my local casino. its only a 200 buyin game though. my goal is to put in 30 hours per week, and average $750 profit per week. I want to play at least 4 live tournies. a $110, $225, and 2 $50's. hopefully at least breaking even in those. I plan on playing less than 10 hours per week online, and making around $250 per week there. I think my online goal should really be to just break even. I am not into the whole online thing at all right now...and its affecting my play. My biggest hope for the month is to qualify for the Ongame Poker Classic. I need to get into this tourney, and hope for the best. I really wanna take a shot at that one big score. Anyways, gl to all!Jesse

Starting with a br of about $425 on Stars, I hope to increase that to $1,000. I am focusing mainly on my sng and mtt game, but will bb playing some Smash nlhe in the wee hours for some extra $$$. I am also playing in the low-limit FCPPC tourney over the next few weeks, so hopefully I can earn some extra money from that. Hope everybody has a good September.

Alright boys, Im in for it to...Starting Bankroll= $2700 -I earned over $4,000 in the last 3 months playing 1/2 at first, then moved up to 2/4 limit, and somtimes 3-6. I was only playing 12-15 hours a week at LIVE game casinos. Some bills and my gf's b-day pwned some of the roll, but the $2700 is all liquid and ready to make me MORE money. And now I got my DSL and it's time for some serious grinding and winning.-I'm going to be playing 4 tables of 2-4 limit on PP and probably playing about 22K-30K hands this month. And if I can still keep up my +2BB/100hands then I can make $2,400 this month. -And then, for sure I will move up to 3-6. Technically I could do it now, with 400BB but I want to play 1 more month straight of 2-4 and THEN after I turn some more profit, make the jump to 3 or 4 tables of 3-6. I should be making $2500 or more a month then. GRIND BABY, GRIND BABY, 1-2-3

My first goal is to not lose all my money during my first trip to Vegas. I'll be there between the 4th and the 7th.My second goal is to somehow squeeze in as much online play as possible before i get married on September 30th.

Just won my first $22 180 sng last night and withrdrew $1100 from my account, so BR is now at $1500..That being said, I will continue to play these and hopefully continue to be successful..I would like to make 5-8 of these Final tables, w/ at least 1 first place, while shooting for the top 3 each timeAlso, to steady out the variance and droughts of playing Mtts, cuz it happens, I will also throw in a $10 and $20 sng here and there..I like these because I feel I don't have to play my very best and theres not a whole lot of pressure..In addition, if I'm tired/bored I'll probably play some smash strategy in low limit cash games, if only to cackle gleefully as I open push sets and get called by TPGK..Finally, I want to FT another MTT, probably a $10 since thats what I usually play...A rebuy would be nice too, but I play like 2 of those a month so no guarantees..If I could have a profit of $1-2 K, I would be very very happy...August was an absolutely fantastic month for me..My BR was at $1K at the beg. of the month and by last night I was up to $2.6KGood luck to all you guys, I know I wouldn't be having the success I am without your help..Really do appreciate it

I picked "MTT" although I'm going to be concentrating on PL Omaha 8/b cash games as well. I made 4 final tables and several top 1/3 finishes in August, but I have still never taken one down. I want to do that this Sept. I'd like to win at least 6 buyins at 50max PL Omaha 8/b this month.I want to win at least 1 of the FCP superstars prelimary rounds and place myself well for the round of 16.AND I WILL NOT THREE-TABLE. I REPEAT, I WILL NOT THREE-TABLE. Someone wanna take a guess at my leak?

Current Bankroll: $472Sept Goal: $600+I just cashed out a few hundred for bills at the end of August and the bankroll is now back under $500. My goal is to make a $600 profit for the month, which would put me around $1,100. I just signed up to Stars about 2 weeks ago with a $50 deposit and plan to play some $3-$5 buy-in SNGs and MTTs. That roll is a little low so I will be playing a few $10 max NL games to help fund the buy-ins until I cash a few times and get that roll into a better range. The majority of my $600 goal will come from cash games. Mostly $25 max NL at Pacific. I just moved up to $25 NL from $10 NL in the middle of August and I'm nice and comfortable after mixing it up for a few weeks. September should be a good month for me if I can get in at least 12-15 hours per week.GL in September everyone.

Looking to double my meager bank roll established in August. I am at 1/2 of my "high water mark" established mid-month. I want to get back to that point and then double it again in October in preparation for my trip to Vegas at the end of October. 4x what I have now would give me a comfortable roll for Vegas and seems like a reasonable goal.

All right, here are my goals for September:1. Make $15,000 total including all forms of poker played. This was my goal last month, and it was probably a little ambitious at the time, but there's no reason that I can't reach it now. If I did nothing but play 30/60 stud, I'd only need to win 250 BB which is very doable, but I'll also hav other sources of income. That juicy home game I played is running again this weekend, and will probably run again at some other time this month, and I also don't see any reason why I can't take down another MTT. 2. Break even or better in any form of poker where I log at least 1,000 hands. This is mainly referring to online poker, but it would be nice if I didn't give money away live either. It's just really annoying to make a lot of money doing one thing, and then give it all away, by being sloppy and unfocused in a different game. I'm quite confident that I should be a winning player in $215 SnGs, $3/6 NL cash games, $2/4 PLO cash games, and $30/60 7-stud games, so this month, I just need to show it at all times.3. Win $2,000 betting college footballYeah, this isn't really a poker goal, but I like to have three goals, and there were only two things I really cared about poker-wise. Last year, I was betting recreationally, and I was an overall winner, and this time around, I'm taking it a lot more seriously. I've been posting on the sports betting forum at 2+2, and studying my plays carefully. Since I'm not going to have an August category for the one day of college football that's happened already, I'm officially 3-1, +$310 for the month of September.

First post in "Goals". Hopefully posting here will allow me to keep a better focus on my game. I tend to do well for a week or so, and then spiral a bit. My BR tends to fluctuate between $150-$250.So, my goals:1. Focus more on reading my opponents. I have been doing ok, just need to be a little more open minded with their ranges.2. Trust my instincts more. This is probably my biggest downfall. Why do I call on the river when I know they have me beat?3. SnG's have been doing well for me, until recently. Not sure what the problem is, probably mixing it up a little too much. Seems I've been losing most of my races, and running into a string of bad luck (tend to always lose against a drawing opponent and I can't seem to catch my draws).4. Hopefully 1-3 will allow me to get my BR up to $500+.

My goal is $24k.
Wut chew tawk'n bout Willus?Damn, I need to read more of your posts! Any chance I can rail some of your play? If so, send me a PM and let me know what your screen name is and where you play.

Current bankroll: 1298I had to take some money out near the end of last month. And I just played poorly during the last week of August. My goal for this month is to get up to 1800 through cash games. I will play in the $26 8k guarantee on FullTilt whenever I feel up to it. I think I should do the mansion promo. It would eat up most of my bankroll, but I would still have 200 left to play 1/2. I don't think I can pass up a $1000 freeroll. That would nearly double my bankroll.

I fear my poker career will slow down a little in September due to work and moving to a new city. I am going to set a goal of 10 - 15 k hands online at $0.25 NL and taking shots at $0.50 NL. I hope to turn a profit of around $700. This will give me a large enough roll to play $0.50 NL comfortably and start taking shots at $1 NL.I also want to check out a casino and start playing live.I also want to improve my SNG/MTT game. I think I might buy and read HOH 1 & 2.

Play 10k hands online. Play between 80-100 hours live. I'd like to profit about 4k but I think I could probably do much better than that if I stick to playing the amount of time that I would like to play. I'd also like to curb my spending as much as possible. I don't know what type of monetary goal to set for that but hopefully bc I'll be playing so much I'll be spending less time drinking and blowing money. I will be in Florida for a week during September so that may disrupt my live goals a bit. I'll also be playing a WPT pre-lim event at the Borgota Poker Open and a prelim event at the USPC so I'd like to cash in one of those.

Goals for September,No more playing on “auto-pilot”, more observation and thought needed.Cash Games, concentrate on the $100NLH and PLOTournaments, this is my biggest leak, work on it to be ready enough for some of the WCOOP tournaments later this month. Horse, play less of it, but still try to improve my stud games.Make stacks of cash.

My goals for this month:1. No more tilting and playing high limits-Haven't done this that much except the past couple days and got quite lucky playing over my head hu NL which is not my game at all. Just wanna stay away from chasing my loses like an idiot2.Get a better grip on Razz and HORSE in general-playing mainly on stars it seems like these games are hot and there should be plenty of fish so I want to be able to make some money off of them which leads me to3.THE WCOOP! I've never played an event always saying next year, well dammit this is the year I def have the br to afford it! I don't really wanna put 530 on a tourney so I'm looking at the 215 HORSE or 215 Razz but I'm not great at either but believe I can do it. Also those fit into my schedule best, in theory the 530 o8 would make the most sense for me but I'd have to miss the first 30 min and the buyin is a bit steep, maybe I can sat in.4. Cash Games-I play mainly 2/4 and 3/6 o8 and beat them pretty well so I hope to continue to do that and keep building. I can definetly afford 5/10 and the players aren't that good, but still mentally have trouble with the $$ swings so I'll see about that.Hope everyone has a successful month! :club:
