  1. I would have to say that raising 3000 would be the best option here to get a better definition of the villian's hand. Smooth calling presents too many problems because your still not sure where your at in the hand plus it gives villian a chance to hit one of the two overcards he's probably holding. Plus if you only call and your opponent has two overs he's not going to bet again unless he hits. I only like smooth calling to build a pot but this opponent is only going to bet again on the turn if hes building a pot for himself. I say with a hand thats as vulnerable in this spot I would raise
  2. Thanks for the feedback. I basically had the same approach as you and would rather use my chips to try to win the blinds while I wasn't too short stacked. In hindsight in the next hand i got rewarded for my fold with AA and doubled up and then some to 10,200. Busted on the bubble 30/884.
  3. Hey guys. They say this game comes down to the small decisions. This was a small decion but i am curous what some of your approach to this type of hand might be.$200 freeroll NLHEAvg. stack at table 12,000blinds 300-600Hero(4950) SB 4c 6cBB 18200Villian (31500) UTG raises to 1200Ive only been at this table for only about ten hands but villian is the chip leader and seems to play pretty agressive. Seems to me he probably has any two big cards in this spot. BB hasnt played hand yet so I wouldnt expect a reraise unless he has a big hand. I was curious if you think it would be worh it to call e
  4. Just so you all know Mizrachi said in an interview I saw that "the grinder" is basically his cash game persona. I dont know if you've ever saw him wearing a shirt or hat that says "Im a Machine" but he says that better describes his tournament style of play. Anyway back to the question I would fire out about half the pot again I think we are ahead in this situation more often than were behind."Hey who's the new kid?"
  5. Im gonna have to go with the mouth hands down. Although Hellmuth is a riot to watch...at least when he gets beat.
