I have lost all track of time. I am living the life of a degenerate poker railbirding Vampire. I stay up until 4AM every moring and sleep until 1 PM or so..it is so sick!Left Phoenix around 5:30 AM on Friday morning and drove like an ape with it'sASS on fire. Got here in just a few minutes over 4 hours. The road was smooth and clear and it was an effortless poke.I immediately went to Mandalay Bay and railed JC and Waco for several hours. JC was just chomping at the bit for this one and he wanted it SOOOOO bad. Jamie, Sandwedge also came by for a bit, but I finally had to leave and go check in. Not long after that he got busted out. So sick. GG JC, and nice ultimate finish Waco! Nice to meet you.I decided not to play the first 1500 event because the sign up was like 7 hours long and TOTALLY screwed up. Long story but Im sure you've all heard, Just a bad scene. So I decided rail Daniel for a bit in the 5K tourney. There were so many sick tables in this one. Every table had at least 3 or 4 top pros, one of the toughest fields I've ever seen. DN had Ivey and Chan were all together, and while they seemed to be enjoying each others company DN was just as card dead as could be. We chatted a little bit but soon the sick last hand came and Daniel bolted outta there. Nothing feels worse than busting.... DSC00508.jpgLater that night we met up with several FCP folks, NoSup4U, checky, Gilbertology, Navybuttons, TroyoMac, Leftygolfer, Jame and Chad...we all went to Venetian Noodle bar for eats and hellos. Good food and fun conversations. Then we all sat at our own table at the Venetian and played 4-8 mixed games. THAT was a blast...I took a powder for Badugi and made a rickety chip castle (that Jamie tried unsuccessfully to blast down by throwing chips at it). Sucker. We played for about 2 hours and then broke for the night.DSC00522.jpgOr did we? No there was one more thing left to do...GO BOWLING!DSC00527.jpgPretty sick time. The mold Coa...er, uh I mean the GOLD Coast has a 70 lane center that is open 24/7. We bowled 2 games and had 3 against 3, and out team ultimately lost the very heavily favored Checky, Gilbert, Navy combo. We got hustled for sure. Rematch coming soon. I finally crashed around 5 AM.Got up Sat. morning and decided to rail Mark in the 1500. He ran so so initially and it was fun to see him man handle Annie Duke at one point. Muhahhahhaaa!!! Things were slow but then he caught fire and just steamrolled the rocks at his table. His table broke a few times and after dinner I realized Daniel was in this event and tried to go see what was up. It was a mob scene and you could not get close. Boston Rob actually sat at his table briefly, pretty funny. Boston Rob was really holding his own in this thing too. DSC00530.jpgMark ultimately got move to the far corner of the room and I managed to camp out a spot along a wall with his buddies and a few others. It's cool how you get to meet folks and chat it up...I can't help myself and I pretty much talk to everyone. Ran into Get Sprung and Suite Up several times too. Then I met Amber. I had honestly pretty much forgotten about Survivor and all that stuff but I did know who she was. It was totally random meeting her. Rob had gotten moved next to where I was standing and I was already chatting with a few others there, and up she walks with her in-laws. 2 funny guys with their wives. Great personalities, all theses guys. A really fun loving group. Not sure how it all got started but before you knew it we were all just talking away about the tourney and I mentioned the golf outing, and Daniel, FCP, etc...then my life, her life, parents, Florida, my wife, yada yada, and before ya knew it we were having a good 'ol time chatting away like we'd known each other for years. she is just that kind of girl. Just a Great friendly and open personality and a wonderful spirit about her. Rob landed a total gem there. She is just a sweetheart without a pretentious or snobbish bone in her body. We talked for well over 2 hours, and Rob came over a few times, and while he was obviously focused on chipping up he also did chat a bit and seemed equally as nice. This couple is the real deal, just very cool people, and I wish nothing but the best for their future. By this point Rob was doing VERY well hanging on for the bubble and actually began to make moves and chip up. Mark was just dominating but had gotten onto a pretty tough table and was handcuffed by Creative on his left and another LAG tard on the left of him! IT was a tough spot for sure but he came through the day with flying colors. DSC00556.jpgWe all said our goodbyes for the night and went out separate ways, and I ended up eating a super late (or early) breakfast at Bellagio with Steve7 and Casey and finally crashed...again around 5AM. SO sick!Today I got up around noon and immediately beat it over to Bills Hotel to check-in, showered up and ran back to the RIO to rail mark once again. We got a nice spot on the Milwaukee's Best beer stage area to watch all the action. But sadly it was short lived and Mark ran into a cold patch, and it was over. A heck of a run for sure and a big congrats again for lasting until 156 in a huge field. Bravo sir! I sure everyone has read the other updates to see how everyone else did. Later on I stopped by to see Steve7 playing the Omaha event. He has Ted Forrest and Mikey as well as a few others at his table. He has played a good bit with Ted and a little with Mikey, and that was fun watching a few hands there. They let us stand very close and we were the only ones in that area for a good while Pretty cool, as we could hear all the jabs and table chat. Fun stuff.I then went over to check on JC, who seemed a little bored and I was told took a last minute refreshed course on the optimum play for one of the games just minutes before the event started, lol. I wished him luck and left to make a quick check on Boston Rob who was still in his event. I ran into Amber again for a bit. She asked about Marks bust out, and I updated her on where all of our "crew" and how they were all doing in the room, etc. These guys really love poker. Very cool! I wished her and Rob well, and then Mark, Chad, James (not FCP), Casey, Suited Up and I all drove over the Caesars to FINALLY play some pokah. I always run like crap there but everyone else seemed to have very good sessions. We finally left after a couple hours and Me, Steve7, Casey and Suited Up all went back to the Venetian Grande Lux Cafe for some good eats. YUM! Then it was back to the Rio one last time to say hello to a few friends, watch Steve play a bit, and rail Doyle and Violette for a few hands. Casey and I ran over th the Palms (dead over there) and played some casino version of Hold 'em. The dealer was just on FIRE, and Casey ran pretty bad. I barely broke even and so we just packed it in and left. FUn game tough.I got back to Bills just a few hours ago, played some craps, broke even and came up to the room and am now typing this stuff for whomever cares to read it.Tomorrow I will do some more railing, drive out to the golf course to make sure everything is cool and then play some poker for REAL. I'll try to post some pics later, I am dead tired.only 7 more daze of this...WOOT! :club:

This may be totally lame but I am curious to see if you have any pics of the wall of champions. I heard that they blew up all the pictures and made it look better. I was just wondering if it was cool or not that big of deal?If anyone else might know where to find a pic of the new wall it would help as well.I'm probably in for a big let down as it probably isnt as cool as I would like to think.Great report BTW

They have really big black sheets hanging from the ceiling all around the room with the pictures projected onto them. They are about 20' X 10' I'd guess. If you see any pics of the entire room look up high on the walls you might be able to see some.MarkEdit: You can actually see the bottom of a few of them in the picture of me above with Annie Duke at my table.

Sounds like your having a blast!!! We'll be up there in 3 weeks I can't wait!
When are you going? I'm trying to figure out my exact dates to roll with a friend, but I think we're looking at the 21st - 25th for now. Anyone else going during that time and have any hotel suggestions?I'm thinking of staying at the Stratosphere since the rooms aren't too bad at hotels.com and it has a nice pool, and walkable to the monorail. Also want to be closer to go to Binion's for some of their events during that time.

I know I said it before, but man Amber is cute in person. Scott took a ton of pics but usually doesn't get them taken of him and celebs so I'm worried he doesn't have any :(Mark
