I raise on turn, this seems a little weak passive to me. When I see a normally TAG player go limp and flat call I know they picked up a big hand or are playing a draw.

check raise turn, pray he has AA (after undoing all your praying that he didn't on the flop)The only downside is he might fold a flush draw that would have got there on the turn. But it's only 20% to get there in the first place, and the board is already paired so it's unlikely you'll stack him in that case anyway. And who knows maybe he'll who will pay to chase his flush and call the raise anyway.As played I think you have to bet the river, to which he'll fold since the call on the turn smells of a big hand (though not quads), if he has a boat hopefully he'll raise anyway. Can't let him check behind though. Of course if he's an agro-donk who will bet the river when checked to him by a calling station (given the action this hand) go ahead. I suspect if he's vaguely sane though he's betting with less hands than he calls with.Though is seems a case of he has AA (and all the chips are going in no matter what you do) or he has air with nothing in between, which I guess would argue for the check on the river to give him a chance to bet with air (he won't check AA on the river after all.)I can't work out what to do when I'm playing, not sure why I bother posting...

I should have c/r'd the turn I think. If he has AA, all the money is going in no matter what. When I got to the river, I led out for $9 I think (had $18 left) and he folded. I should have checked to him and let him fire again, but I really should have repopped the turn. /shrug. At least I didn't get caught checking down quads.

I agree with sholden. Checkraise the turn and hope villain has aces full.If villain has a flush draw, he's slowing down anyways since the board paired. So no matter what you do, if villain has the flush draw you won't be able to win much more from him. The best thing to do is to play it as if villain has the second nuts.

I disagree. If he has aces full you're getting all his money anyways. You might as well check and let him hit or bluff the river. If you raise him on the turn and he doesn't have aces or fives full he's probably just going to fold.
