Most Internet players would be nonstandard picks, since they, to overgeneralize play a diverse mixture of hold em, hold em, and hold em. They also tend to play in the $1-3K events instead of the $5-50K events. That said, some young online players are becoming well skilled in omaha and stud games, and will probably make the final table in the World Championship events.

On one hand I agree if someone thought of a great pick it benefits him/her to not tell everyone, on the other hand its a no stack game, so sharing at this forum is no surprise. If we were taking it seriously, I would try to give out bad pick ideas of accomplished players who will probably not be in the WSOP events, such as Chip Reese (RIP).

A good strategy is to pick players like the ones DN has put forth, but not the same ones since most people participating will havethe same players. That said, I'm sure I'll include at least three or four from his list, but the others will probably be less big names, but still known to play mixed games at the WSOP.

I don't think the McCain campaign has officially taken a stance on online gaming, at least not as of when Cardplayer was covering the candidates for the Nevada primary.
