I don't think this is a bad beat because when the cards were flipped over I was already beat. If I go all in pre flop and see I am a huge favorite and then the 5 comes on the turn, that's the bad beat and I don't think I'm wasting my time talking about a bad beat.I think the only way to win this hand was to move all in on the flop.I don't think he could have called, and with three players left in a field of 44 I think I should have been playing a little more aggressively.

My thinking at the time was that I wanted a call pre flop so I could accumulate some substantial chips. I was short stacked all night and saw that as an opportunity to make a move. In hind sight I think he would have called pre flop. My only chance (hind sight) was to move all in on the flop, and I think it would have been a tough call for him to make with the A 10 out there, unless he put me on a bluff.

I've struggled with this very issue. My religious beliefs would dictate that I do not gamble. But, I really enjoy playing poker and specifically Hold'em tournaents.
