  1. Its pretty simple really. If you put him on the hearts and then figure him for some out to the str8 then you are almost behind with two cards to come. Why would you make the decision easy and go all in on the flop?A new player may wish to up the volitility of the hand and push here but you have a much better chance of taking the pot if you wait to see the turn.Instead of going broke or doubling up on a race... I would rather just take the nice pot that is in front of me by letting the cards narrow the odds a little for Daniel. At any rate, this hand will probably be in an upcoming article an
  2. Ok, lets see if I can make this coherent and not butcher it...Carlos put him on a "monster draw." If the object of most NLHE pots is to get off without a showdown, then the correct place to put Daniel all in (or give him the toughest decision) is to wait a card. If an obvious blank hits the turn (a card that does not obviously help Daniel), then it is “time to jam.” Now, the decision is nearly impossible for Daniel to make as there is only one more card to come off. Carlos wins the pot.The way that Carlos played it gave Daniel two cards... All in on the turn (with a blank) gives him only

  5. lol. Ouch, bad read. Sry man. I proly read you wrong because online poker is my leak. I started reading this forum again to plug it. Since we're here... how many folks out there could make (are making) a healthy profit live but leak online??
  6. I just looked you up... you joined the forum in May. I joined at the start in 2004 and have not posted anything beyond Dec of 2004 until this month. If you disagree with something posted... then debate the points. When you make chit up to boost your ethos you show your inability to reason and are a fool.Let me guess... you are a winner... the elite 5% of online poker genious.
  7. There may be 15k members but definately not that many contributors. I believe that 50% of the people that contribute have played long enough to make some kind of profit.I hardly play online. What are you talking about?
  8. I would say that 50% or better here make some portion of their monthly income playing poker. To win at something consistantly you must have commitment and discipline. Once you figure this out then you can apply it to anything. With this logic... in order to lower your risk of going broke in your quest to become a full-time poker player, you should become a consistant winner in another aspect of your life. Also, this means that most "winning" players have good careers or profitable businesses that would be too enjoyable and profitable to just drop out-of-hand to focus on the grind. Here is
  9. Ok, this may be a silly question... Why are you going to school if you do not plan to work for (or with) "the man?"I have a full-time job selling money, I own a toy store on the side (online, brick and mortar, and mail order), and I play poker part-time (20-40 hrs a week live/online). I stay busy and REALLY enjoy my life. If I focused on just one of my "jobs" I would hate it in 6 months. My advice, get a job if only to enjoy your poker career... You may not understand this now, but print this and read it in 10 years.Good luck!
  10. got it. i did not realize what "poker room" was. lol, i thought that danny had his own unique site...it works!!any way to datamine info as an observer?
  11. Lol. Thanks Actuary! I usually enjoy reading your posts.

  13. Does pt have an auto function for fcp? I just downloaded it, any advice where to start?
  14. I work in Lewisville so it is only a short trip in the evenings for me...The one on 75 is on the border as well about the same distance. But there is a Starbucs in side and a glass room for the higher limits!yippee!
  15. LOL. 10/20 limit 2-5 nl and 5-10 nl is spread daily at Winstar Casino on 35. On good weekends you will find 15/30 and sometimes even 20/40. There is another one opening on 75 this week (yeah!). You can also find 10/20 at several (less than legal) clubs in and around Dallas.
