sirch1 0
Alright first off i am sorry i don't have a hand converter but o well. This hand was a turning point in a freeroll i played yesterday and i know what your thinking a freeroll so what but i want to hear your guys input. I was doing pretty well when the following hand came up. I got jacks in the small blind and a a guy who had been playing a lot of pots raised in mid postion. He had been overplaying his hands this whole tournament so I thought i could win a good pot with the right flop. I thought about bumping but i just called hoping to flat out win it on the flop if it was safe. Well i got the flop I wanted and decided to checkraise thinking he would bet with overs. He bet 1200 and i decided i had the best hand and put him in. O before this hand i was a chip leader in the tournament. What do you guys think of this hand and how would have you of played it?#Game No : 2152313648 ***** Hand History for Game 2152313648 *****NL Hold'em Trny:12795118 Level:6 Blinds (75/150) - Saturday, June 04, 03:43:09 EDT 2005Table $5,000 Freeroll(355437) Table #22 (Real Money)Seat 2 is the buttonTotal number of players : 9 Seat 2: ElDayHuff ( $3169 )Seat 3: sirch1 ( $7891 )Seat 4: dyliedill ( $2525 )Seat 6: seoulja18 ( $5497 )Seat 8: ddietrich01 ( $2803 )Seat 9: esedrans ( $320 )Seat 10: Mohenis ( $1787 )Seat 5: thebrownfox ( $1740 )Seat 7: Tupac_Soulja ( $3105 )Trny:12795118 Level:6Blinds (75/150)** Dealing down cards **Dealt to sirch1 [ Jh Jc ]>You have options at Play money 4003399 Table!.thebrownfox folds.tommynsami has joined the table.Player tommynsami has been moved from $5,000 Freeroll(355437) Table #61 table seoulja18 raises [800].Tupac_Soulja folds.ddietrich01 folds.esedrans folds.Mohenis folds.ElDayHuff folds.sirch1 calls [725].dyliedill folds.** Dealing Flop ** [ Td, 5c, 4s ]sirch1 checks.>You have options at Play money 4003399 Table!.seoulja18 bets [1200].sirch1 raises [4600].seoulja18 is all-In [3497]sirch1 calls [97].** Dealing Turn ** [ Kd ]>You have options at Play money 4003399 Table!.** Dealing River ** [ 3h ]sirch1 shows [ Jh, Jc ] a pair of jacks.seoulja18 shows [ As, Kc ] a pair of kings.seoulja18 wins 11144 chips from the main pot with a pair of kings.Game #2152316192 starts. chester97 0
i don't hate your play there, at all, but not to say i don't love it overly. might have overbet it a bit too much, although i must admit i would've folded AK if that much was bet into me. the guy just decided to gamble and hit. really, you got the money in when you were a good favourite after that flop, and there isn't much more you can do then get the money in with the best hand. that said, i'll make a smaller raise, probably just a nuisance raise, after that flop and bet. chester97 0
didn't notice you checked first. i probably am leading out with it for at least a 1200 bet because it can let him get away from the hand. that said so many people overplay AK that he may have called no matter what. really it was just an outdraw and he got lucky. and by the way you described him, he sounds like he's gonna call an all-in after the flop with AK so not much you can do. mrdannyg 274
you should probably have reraised PF, especially if he was playing a lot of pots.having not reraised PF and given that he was likely to bet on the flop despite having missed, i like your play. it is probably not the play that a lot of people who regularly play NL and tournaments would recommend, and i agree with this since its much too risky a play. i however am a regular at freerolls and know this is not a particularly risky play since the fish are crazy-aggressive in these.you then put him all-in with the significantly better hand and he outdrew you.cheers, daniel
