how many times have people had a bad streak and said "Im done with poker for good"? I know I have done it a few times. But once that bankroll gets up there, Im banging in at the tables again. Andy Beal Is an interesing guy. I mean what is his purpose for playing poker when he is known not to be that good of a player anyway? Just to rake in millions? If that is the case, I am sure his investments do that faster than a 5 day trip to vegas ever could. He is a BILLIONAIRE........these trips to vegas are like a vacation for him. when the pay outs are determined, we use envelopes to put each place pay out in, it is less confusing especially if you are holding onto the money and you are playing in the tournament as paid places begin to get eliminated.

I have a situation.........the local American Legion hosts a tournament every tuesday night. Non members of the legion are allowed to play. So I being 24 decided to check it out, I had a good time, and the following week decided to bring my 17 year old cousin, he wound up winning the tournament. The next day the "host" came in to where I work and told me they wouldn't allow my cousin back in until he turned 18. Apparently someone squeeled on him, now weather or not his age was brought up at a table that night I don't know, but if it was and that was their rule wouldn't they have said somet

in his blog today he was talking about playing andy and doesn't feel good about playing for the corporation. He also said he would rather pay 10 million dollars and play against all of them. Which got me thinking about that $10 million buy in tournament, 6 players, winner take all. Phil Ivey was the first to be announced as one of the players. Maybe I am looking to deep into DN's statement.............or maybe not?? :wink:

Well ok, then my casino is different, cash games and tourneys two people heads up and one is all in both players must turn up their cards.

justwondering, when iplay up ay my local casino in niagara falls when two players are all in they are asked to tun up their hole cards. I noticed when playin on Stars that they want until after the river to show the hole cards, which allowed this one guy to much kis cards as my aces held up, i was not allowed to see his cards he said he had AK, but who knows.Is this the normal rule not to flip up the whole cards, iam just curios. And isn't it a disadvantage for me if i call someones all in who has far less cash than me, cause maybe i want to see how he plays certain cards?

It was more of a rant on how vulnerable the majority of our generation can be with credit cards and the use of them for gambling. especially at your age, just into college, that is the time when people start getting credit cards.and yes you have every right todo what you want with your finances, I just don't understand the point of your post.
