  1. I just finished the Stu Ungar bio One of a Kind. It mentions in the book that Daniel played in one of the last cash games with Stu. I would love to hear any stories from Daniel about what it was like playing with Stu.For anyone interested, the book is a great read. It is one of the most tragic stories ever.PK
  2. this sums up my opinion, its unique style of humor, some like it and some dont. i think he's really funnyIs that you Mrs. Chad?Only his mother could think this guy is funny.
  3. Thanks for the info, I am really looking forward to the trip. I don't plan on playing a ton of poker, but a few friendly games are always a good time.
  4. [your little alabama girl joke wouldnt be as funny if it was your daughter would it. pretty mature of you if you lose your wife while down there... just make sure you look in my room.. she'll be there]Thanks, I didn't know that there was a morality police on this site. I'll take it that you don't have any tips on the poker rooms?
  5. Instead of Vegas my wife and I are taking our vacation in Aruba this October. Have any of you played poker there? I would appreciate any feedback you all can provide. We will be staying at the Radisson in Palm Beach. Thanks in advance.P.S. unless that girl from Alabama is at the bottom of a Margarita glass or in a poker room I will not be looking for her.
  6. Just a bit of info for the guys that think play is different at higher limits. I was at the Taj in A.C. last Saturday and I stood and watched the $20-40 limit game. The amount of action was the same as the 3/6 game only with a lot more money. I saw a lot of what you would call "junk" hands (T7o, 57o, K9o, etc) winning pots. Be careful, if you can't beat the donkeys at 3/6 you will have a world hurt coming against better players with more money at higher limits.Good Luck.
  7. If you are looking to play poker and keep your girl happy you should stay at Mirage. They have a great poker room for you, and the pool is fantastic (read..No Snot Assed Kids) and it is next door to a decent shopping mall for your girl. I have also stayed at Mandalay, I liked the poker room but the rat kids in the pool really ruined the experience. It was like being at Disney. There was actually a lady in the hot tob that had her diaper clad kid soaking with her, totally unsanitary. As far as shows go: If you can swing the $100 see O at the Bellagio or if you have an open mind and are not off
  8. I like the 4-8 game at Mandalay. The 1/2 blinds and kill pots make for good action and the jackpot hands are a nice added feature.
  9. The great Phil Helmuth has written on this subject. http://www.philhellmuth.com/hand_of_the_we...ek.php?howid=50
