New Poker After Dark Cash Game Starts Tonight

Recommended Posts

Probably not gonna be nearly as good as the first Cash Game with Durrr and company but will definitely be better than the standard SNG format they have always used. Gabe Kaplan is going to be terribly boring and nitty imo.http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/artic...takes-cash-game

I don't mind this line up at all. PA will play position and open a lot of pots. Doyle will play premium hands. Eli will gamble it up oop mainly vs PA. Gabe will play premium hands but make mistakes Doyle won't make. Dee Will move chips since he promised Morry that he wouldn't be a nit. Patrik Antonius, Doyle Brunson, Howard Lederer, and Eli Elezra, as well as poker announcer Gabe Kaplan, and amateur Dee Tiller, a businessman from Texas.

Replace Kaplan with Phil Galfond and it becomes more interesting but I'm still pretty excited for it. Elezra is pretty bad it seems but doesn't seem to generate as much action as Farha would. Seems a lot more loose passive.

WatI'm glad they're doing more of these. Kaplan could only play 1 hand an hr and he'd still be a legend in my books, he's a massive part of what makes HSP awesome

His call was pretty decent (though not extraordinary for anyone that can hand read I think) but he makes a lot of "meh" plays as well. I'm just not a big fan of his game overall, at least from what we see on TV. And I'd like to add a disclaimer that I understand we see few hands in the grand scheme but from what I've seen, I'm not impressed.

I've not seen any of the PAD episode yet, but I was 'wat'ing based on his HSP play

NLHE is probably his worst game, Eli is a much better limit player especially short handed; much respected all around player.

Eli sucks at NLHE. He calls reraises light OOP far too often and is waaay too passive to win, especiallyagainst most of the lineups on HSP and any other cash game on TV.havent seen this yet, waiting for it to come out on pokerrube, V excited. waded through5 weeks of donkngos for this

I'm not sure how it works on the West Coast but I love how poker is interspersed with "get out of debt" commercials that only seem to appear at this time of day (while poker is being aired). Maybe I'm wrong because I don't watch NBC often.

If we had jobs, we wouldn't be up at 3am. On the West Coast they play them earlier because it's simply assumed that everyone is an out-of-work screen writer with a crippling balloon payment kicking in any minute.

In the first episode, about 10 minutes were used showing the players discussing (and betting) how much time Lederer took in his hand vs Doyle. You'd think that sometime during the episode, the freaking producers could have told them the answer, and not left the viewers hanging for the whole episode. :club:

BUMPI cant be the first one to notice this but i was just watching this on pokertube.com and in ep40 2/4 at 8:00 Patrik mentions how he would like a poker site where you could change your name everyday to whatever you want. Then Eli snaps in and says i have 17 "names" on full tilt. Im assuming these "names" are other accounts. It seemed like all the guys at the table snapped him a look and snickered, but i couldnt tell if they were lauging at what tiller said or at eli. After this whole big deal with mr casino, doesnt this mean something. Or did i get it all wrong and was eli talking about something else?

Fairly sure this has been brought up here already. Was already discussed at length in 2p2.

I don't think he's a red pro so I guess it wasn't a terribly big deal. See: Guy Laliberte
I heard about that. I just didn't know it was cool to say on national tv.
