Cheap Shot Artists @ Beerains: Recap

Recommended Posts

(I'd much prefer that someone else wrote this, but since my other team members couldn't be in attendance, I'll recap the action.)pogue came out of the gate aggressively, but Cobalt hit a couple of early flops to take the lead. Within a short time, Cobalt had a 4-1 chip lead. However, pogue stuck in there. Towards the middle of the match, Cobalt paid off pogue's trips. This allowed pogue to overcome the deficit, and he overtook the chip lead by a slight margin. Cobalt retook the lead four hands later and whittled pogue down to a 9-1 chip deficit. After going card dead and having to frequently fold the button or face an all-in from pogue against his limps, Cobalt raised 63s and was pot-committed to calling pogue's all-in. pogue had QJo. Cobalt flopped a 3 and pogue failed to improve.

Good recap Cobalt. There were a few hands I played poorly, such as my 66 vs your 9T. I had you on generally the right hand and the right play was to raise the turn, yet I went with waiting for you to bluff the river after you missed your 6 outer. There was no justification to play the hand that way.You played very solid and I would enjoy playing with you again Cobalt.

Thanks, man. It was a pleasure playing with you also. My one hand that I'd like to take back was where I paid off your trips. =)
