  1. When is the next series starting? If you want to transfer just sent it to JAS II from "requests" -> "transfer funds".I like the idea of everyone putting in an extra dollar every week. I think the only real way to do this is for everyone to ship $10 to someone to hold before the first tourney. Trying to organize everyone sending $1 every week would get pretty difficult. Say you have to send your money before week 4 or something.
  2. I posted the 2nd one in the tourney thread, but it's not getting much attention.I don't think I have ever seen qyayqi smooth call PF, so this is kind of new.PokerStars Game #10308351243: Tournament #52195302, $5.00+$0.50 Hold'em No Limit - Level II (15/30) - 2007/06/06 - 21:28:53 (ET)Table '52195302 2' 9-max Seat #6 is the buttonSeat 2: TheDominator (1825 in chips) Seat 3: JAS II (2425 in chips) Seat 4: qyayqi (1870 in chips) Seat 6: Yahkin (1695 in chips) Seat 7: Ouch-8s (3710 in chips) Seat 8: TimWakefield (1975 in chips) Ouch-8s: posts small blind 15TimWakefield: posts big blind 30*** HOLE
  3. how do we feel about this?Ouch had been raise my blind nearly every round and Dom/Copernicus calls a lot pre-flop.PokerStars Game #10308741707: Tournament #52195302, $5.00+$0.50 Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (50/100) - 2007/06/06 - 21:53:30 (ET)Table '52195302 2' 9-max Seat #7 is the buttonSeat 2: TheDominator (3220 in chips) Seat 3: JAS II (1665 in chips) Seat 4: qyayqi (2275 in chips) Seat 7: Ouch-8s (6340 in chips) TheDominator: posts small blind 50JAS II: posts big blind 100*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to JAS II [8c 8h]qyayqi said, "i hate you now. but nice."TheDominator said, "big 1"qyayqi: fol
  4. I'm out. Leaving for St Thomas tomorrow morning so I'm heading to Raleigh tonight since our flight is so early. Maybe my bounty points can carry over so we will have two bounties next week?
  5. Monix had been very passive earlier giving me a ton of walks from the SB. Once he got the chip lead he had been much more active raising me and I had not called yet. I had reshoved on him once and he folded. The flop is a tough spot, make sure to look at pot and stack sizes. Sorry about not converting, but I think it's down. 6. AUCU,With the 98hh against me you should either be pushing or folding that PF, this allows you to put maximum pressure on the short stack. I guess the flop push was ok. From my end I had A7ss. I'm really not sure if I should just be open pushing PF so I don't get bluffed. I think that would have been a better play but I still had 14 BB's, so I don't know. What do you guys think?Fold the KQs PF. OOP against a 3-bet it plays terribly. As played I think you have to get it in on the flop though.
  7. I thought at the time it was a fold and I still think it is. You nearly insta-called me too, maybe that also surprised me as I don't think you gave much thought to anything other then I have A9 3-handed.I agree with a lot of what Grinder, Simo, and Goldy have said here. If you call and lose you go from a comforatable 2nd to 3rd, but if you call and win you're still in 2nd by more then 2000 chips. I also think the SAWB thing really applies here. Either I have a hand like I had (which is at the WAY bottom of my range, I almost just folded and probably should have) and you're slightly ahead o
  8. I don't mind check calling the flop, but I think Slacker will rarely two barrel a board like this at this stage of the tourney in an unraised pot. That being said I REALLY can't see him 3barreling it. I remember thinking at the time it would be a tough laydown if I was in the hand w/ a 9. He either had a T there or total air and I have never seen Slacker put in three bets with air, so until i SEE someone do that I'm going to give credit. So,,,checkcalling the flop I don't think is bad, calling turn is questionable, I'm folding the river there unless Ive seen the player 3 barrel bluff in the
  9. I'm JAS II btw.Simo, what were your thoughts when you had 77 3 handed and i raised on the button, you called, check-called the flop and check-folded the turn?I really hated my position on the turn. You had about 2000 left, the pot was 1650, and i had no idea how much to bet or what you could have there. I'm still not happy with the 1000 bet I made. I had QQ.
  10. This is a double shootout and the play is beyond bad (first table). The hand right before this I pushed over the top of someone w/ AT and they called w/ KT and I doubled up. I got a short on a bad beat about 2 orbits before this (AQ<T7 all in on QT5 flop) and the AT is the only hand I played in between.I think there's a 100% chance a normal raise gets called by the button and I'm not sure how often he calls a push, but he's been very loose, so I think there's a pretty good chance.Sorry about no converter, but I couldn't get stack sizes to show up and they're important.PokerStars Game #881
  11. I agree with Yahkin here, I think your ranges are really really tight. I have noticed that AA or KK when FIRST to enter the pot would more likely min raise then over push at this level. This changes when there is a raise in front as I often see AA and KK RE-raise all-in with an over push.I have seen many times people open overpush in an attempt to double up w/ AK, AQ, 66-JJ, if they lose they move on to the next one.I'm not too much a pokerstove guy, but I'm pretty sure I'm well ahead of this range.Anyway, I called after taking quite a bit of time and he showed 99 and luckily this doesn't en
  12. It's a 9 man. I agree w/ Simo, if we think we're ahead here I don't think we can pass up a +EV situation.

  14. I was really worried about the BB, not UTG. He was probably a little tilty from me picking off his bluff 2 hands ago. Once BB checked the turn I should have known I had him beat as well. I've noticed that check raises into multi-way pots is nearly ALWAYS a big hand, but they also will lead the turn 99% of the time if their hand is that big (ie JJJ). I felt like I played the hand pretty well at the time, but the BB's turn check should have sent up flags that he can't beat AA. I missed value here for sure.BB = AJUTG = KJ (wtf?)
