Bet more on the turn for one thing. River depends on how passive he is. I'm fine with a check if he's somewhat aggro because an aggro will certainly bet that card (there's really nothing he could be holding that didn't improve that he calls turn with).

Any reason not to bet the flop with two broadway cards out there?
To go for a c/r if villain cbets frequently. As for the hand, without reads, I'm betting a little more on the turn and leading the river.

i was shocked he checked the flop... i was most likely c/c donking... i was prob gonna c/r, but knowing me i'd have c/c then lead any turn... after he checks and i make nuts i figure i gotta try to extract any possible kind of value.. the turn raise is small because of the fact taht due to the rake, the pot read something like $3.80 in the middle of the table & i was looking to ~60% it... i think i was gonna make it 2.25 but just got lazy & hit 2 then enter... i think i was 3 tabling @ this time... i'm still new to MTing & have occasionally found myself making decisions probably a lil quicker than i should, or taking "short cuts" i guess you could say (ie 2 instead of 2.25 or 3/4 instead of 3.5 etc etc etc) ... turn bet ammount is evident of that... i just felt by leading out on this river there's no chance i'm getting any value from bigger pockets like 66-99 JJ-QQ... also my line so far looks like i could have total air & have stabbed @ the pot... perhaps he'll either a) think he's good & bet for value or if he has air some how B) think i'll fold cause i've shown soo much weakness thus far & bet anyways...resultaments:hero checks villain bets $6 hero raises to $22.50 villain calls $16.45 & is all inhero shows 4444Kvillain mucks KKK44one outers for the wiiiiiiinnnn :club:

I dont like a c/r here. i dunno why, i just really am not a fan of check/raising people out of pots that they might end up stacking off too, like K,Q or AK. a c/r might send a message that you've flopped better than 1 pair.

bet the flop obv. try and get all your chips in there somehow. the only time i check the river is if i'm 100% certain villain will bluff. as results show, it didnt matter what u did, because he had turned top boat and wasnt going anywhere.

I'd bet 3/4 pot on turn and 3/4 pot on river, and hope he raises somewhere. I don't like checking the river, I'd have to have a pretty damn spot-on read to attempt that when the villain has shown relatively no interest in the hand thus far. You've opened the possibility now of winning the absolute minimum on this hand.

I don't think you can call the PF with 44. Congratulations, you hit your set. Now bet the flop. Bet the turn harder. Lead the river, he's been calling you down and the pot is big enough for him to call a nice sized bet.
