It's like a super sized homer pick.I'd sub in Denver for SD and the Jets for Miami. Actually the afc is fairly weak in the middle so who knows maybe Miami can go 9-7 against the weak schedule and sneak in.

Yeah I thought about Denver, but there's just something telling me they won't be very good. I'd be happy if they did well since they're my 2nd favorite team. My feelings aren't logical since they have pretty much the same team as last year (I think) plus a much better QB so on paper they're supposed to do well.

They'll get the big Hardknocks bump though. That's worth 3 games.

I predict this instant replay after every turnover is going to get really old...really fast.
Why? They did it after every scoring play last year. You hardly notice it. The refs don't go under the hood unless they get buzzed from upstairs. Plus it's going to eliminate the "ah, what the hell" challenges from the coaches.

Ok I didn't realize the refs wouldn't go under the hood unless needed. So basically on a really obvious turnover, they won't take two minutes to look at it? If not, then I'm fine with the rule.

I'll allow it. I think the game is over now though. I'm saving my predictions for after the preseason injuries.....but it's safe to say it will be a tough year for the letter C.

from deadspin:In an ideal situation, the Dolphins would let Tannehill ride the bench for a year and THEN let him go out and suck the way we all know he will. Instead, they've decided to stick him out there this season, with no one to throw to and no possible hope for success. NFL teams never seem to heed the lessons of David Carr. Time and again, they take a young passer and happily let opponents dismantle his psyche bit by bit. By the end of this season, Tannehill will be throwing passes with his eyes closed from the fetal position.

God, all the old posts are so clusterfucked.

I've been trying to think of a reason not to pick Green Bay and New England in the Super Bowl, but can't come up with a good one. Probably pick Houston if I was picking a dark horse.
