Who is the Best Omaha player?

Recommended Posts

My three would be Chau Giang, Robert WIlliamson, and Sami Farha. You do not here alot of Sami, but he makes a killing in omaha side games.

I've read in a few places that a lot of pros think Matusow is the best PL omaha player in the world. But Lederer says on his website that he thinks Farha is probably the best PL omaha player.

According to Barry Greenstein nobody will play Omaha w/ Farha unless there are two other games in the mix like Hold 'Em and Stud.

i've heard many stories about who is the best omaha player. from chau jiang, robert williamson, farha, annie duke (8/B), phil ivey (high), etc. not to mention all the great european players as that is the primary game over there.apparently people will not play farha in a purely omaha game as he will run over everyone. shorthanded omaha appears to be his specialty. chau regularly plays in the big game with daniel and doyle and have heard omaha is his best game. and williamson has been said to be the best american born omaha player. its all hearsay but i respect all of these guys. i lean towards chau and farha.as for matasow, i've actually heard that 2-7 triple draw is his best game. apparently him and hellmuth are both amazing at 2-7 which is weird since i thought hellmuth was purely a hold'em specialist. but, a few months ago, you could regularly see matasow on ultimatebet playing in the 80/160 TD games and killing them. weird game this is. can't wait to read the chapter on it in the new supersystem.
