On a small tv network here in Denver called Altitude - created mainly to show nuggets and avalanche games - they are airing the Protege season 1. I have seen a few of the episodes and during them I can't stop laughing. I still don't know what happened to Jerry but I saw what happened to the kid who couldn't speak english....DN pulls him into this small room and offers him like $2500 bucks to pay his bills and drop out of the Protege. He accepts the money and then starts crying because he's out of the competition. DN says he is going to help him out further, they leave the room and then DN goes out to the table and takes his chips out of play. The rest of the players have a baffled look on their face. It was too funny! I am pretty sure the same thing happened to Jerry. The old man couldn't hack the lifestyle so DN paid him some cash to drop. And the guy mc'ing the event with Daniel is an absolute tool. DN did well but they need a new guy to mc it with him. Even the commercial break music is horrific. I hope the 2nd one turns out better. This first one wasn't done well at all and I really can't believe it's on network television.
Jimmy was a nice guy- he wanted this as bad as anybody there. He played well, too, considering how many hands he was playing. There was at least twice where he could have busted me if it wasn't so obvious what he had. One you saw, one didn't make the cut. Maybe DN was trying to save me from the embarrasment of everyone seeing how bad I played it, although I did make the correct fold. How Jimmy crying makes you laugh is beyond me. I remember when we were in DN's room and I said "DN, you are going to make sure and go out of your way so every ******* gets it and enjoys it, right?" There was no reply, because that freakin question was never asked tardbucket. No one gives a rats *** if some 15 year old in Colorado doesn't like the commercial music, or if Ali doesn't quite hack it for your taste. Why don't you go talk to him about it? Put some money on UB, and sit with Friggin Donk at the high limit NL tables. I am sure he would be glad to listen to any criticism.
So much for a comeback.
