That is a substantial amount of time.

On the plus side, you do have large stores of great bourbon.
I got rid of all of it. So, we need more plus sides.

Joining a frat turned out to be a great decision for me. Yeah, there was some stupid bullshit to deal with while in college, (meetings and such). But to my understanding a lot of that has been done away with because almost everything is considered hazing now. And you can be as or not involved as you want.

It was also more economical than living on campus and comparable to off-campus.

Not to say it's a guaranteed way to make friends as 80% of the people in the house if I could not care less if I ever see again and about 10% I hope to never see again, but almost 100% i wouldn't have had as much fun socially during and after college as I have.

But to give myself some credit, I've been invited to almost every wedding and a good amount of bachelor parties to guys that were in my class or older and even a few younger and that is far from the norm. So, I must be doing something right.

I think it was probably the shitting on the chests, and whatnot.

Yes, it seems likely that Strat sold for less than he paid.

If you factor in bottles he gave as gifts, maybe its close to even?

Had a bottle of the Bulleit 10 year. Pretty good stuff, but not really in the $45 tier.
I'd lend a hand, but it's stuck in the fist and gun position.

I gave away a ton of it. Stopped caring about P&L as much. I was money ahead on most of it.

I hate every fiber of his being. He's awful and everything he writes is wrong, coupled with being annoying. Its uncanny how awful he is. If he was around when this thread was thriving, he would have killed it. Thankfully, he wasnt.

Maybe in the real world, he's not so awful (evidence says otherwise) but here, he makes me want to fight. Nobody makes me want to fight. Its beyond weird. I almost feel bad, but I dont

I buy new running shoes twice a year, and I add a new pair of boots or shoes a year. I don't wear athletic shoes I don't work out in, because they wear out too quickly. I'm in the market for a new pair of shoes now, I'm leaning toward these which are on sale from AE right now

I own more than one pair. I wear my sandals (Chacos) like 90% of the time. My other shoes: white sneakers, brown semi-casual shoes without laces, black dress shoes without laces, brown dress shoes with laces, black dress shoes with laces, wingtips, and some Vibram running shoes. I don't see much point to having shoes beyond those.

wearing sandals 90% of the time is unacceptable. and i don't see any nikes on that list. you are NOT fresh to death.

I wear merrell mocs for my daily shoe. super comfortable.

I guess I'll be getting a couple direct reports at work along with a title and pay bump. Details TBD but the CIO finally realized all the shit I've been doing as well as the results I've been getting. Ops is signing my praises and he wants me to have the authority to set standards for the rest of the team. Last title bump and pay raise about 2 years ago was toothless and they realize that now. that was basically just to keep me from taking another position in the company with compliance, which I was leaning 60-40 on turning down any way.

Nothing. She is doing whatever she can to avoid talking about the elephant in the room. We hung out for like an hour last night. It's a complicated and boring story.
