Is it a coincidence that every good team in the league follows the "fancy video game stat Geek" model of thinking? and NHL seasons aren't 68 games long, unfortunately.

I had this thought process of blasting into you, getting all mad and belligerent, and then I realized, whats the point. I don't know you, I don't really know what makes you tick, and at the end of the

I guess I'll disclaim this by saying I'm a huge Sundin fan. He's probably my favourite player of all time.   First: Nobody knows exactly what happened. The Leafs couldn't work out a trade with a pla

Dermott and Gardiner hurt. This feels like a disaster

no problem. I'm sure Bab's coaching experience and how he's prepared players like Holl all season will make everything just fine

This is quite amusing. I am looking forward to seeing this but unfortunately I am in Richmond Hill Thursday night.

I have never been so excited to see a regular season game. I am heading to the mall with my daughter (Upper Canada) and expect to be there by 7 pm. She is going in while I sit in my car streaming the game on Fibe TV

Seems just like last year the last 16 games is just determining home advantage in first round against Boston.

Unless an epic fall, which we dont see, we will finish second or third in division.

Lets stay healthy and get through these last few games..Maybe have Sparks play like 5 or 6 games to keep Freddie rested for the playoffs.

The defence depth is getting challenged, but it hasnt been a disaster quite yet...Freddie has had to save these guys most of the year .

They either didn't get along when they played together or Barzal didn't appreciate Tavares' "the kid who won the Calder" comment during his first interview as a Leaf. Either way, Tavares ain't no saint.

So I figured out why the Leafs are losing..Its a plan..They let Montreal pass us..We end up in the first Wild card spot..Therefore avoiding Boston and Tampa Bay in the first round

This narrative that the leafs have no chance against the bruins is ludicrous. Sure, not the best matchup for them but come on.... lucky to win one game? That’s just not true, IMO...

Toronto is a better team than Boston. Boston has a better coach and home ice advantage. Its far from an ideal matchup, but It’s probably close to a coin flip.

The narratives are wrong..Toronto is a much deeper team. A much better team than last years matchup. All the negative stuff on Freddie is uncalled for..Rask has been very mediocre..

agreed. Vegas never gets it wrong. Toronto -140 dog and that’s with the huge handle Toronto fans will ring up.

FWIW here’s how I see it....

Goaltending: even. Rask at his best is better, but very easily put off his game by a bump or even a mistake by his own team Andersen steadier but still capable of a stinker.

Defensive: well, yeah. Toronto is not good. And not tough. In my mind, Boston’s only handicap is if they play chara too much. Toronto’s speed and cheating out of the zone will make chara look like a statue.

Forwards: interesting. Toronto is infinitely more talented. Boston is more experienced. The longer the series goes the more Toronto’s youth and speed will play. But that all depends on....

Coaching: edge, Boston. If Babcock is stubborn in his minutes allotment and adjustments, the Boston edge becomes larger.

All in all, I agree with dubey. Very close to a coin flip.

Which Boston Bruins fan forum are you guys on that you find these narratives? Lol

Lucky to win one game? I don't think anyone with any knowledge of hockey would say that.

You guys need to stop going out to dinner with Jack Edwards.

I can honestly say I haven't read one article that says the Bruins are even a big favourite. The most shocking thing I read was the line at bet365, which I jumped on right away. Leafs+145
