There are no crazy payouts...The Blues are the longshot at 50-1...Rangers actually might be good value at 40-1...THey havent posted series prices yet

I'd like a small bet on the blues to win the conference. don't look at me like that, you KNOW 50-1 is a good price for the best team in the NHL since february.

id risk this. I would also risk this on Chicago big time. They could easily make a run, or lose out in 5/6 games. They really seem like a boom or bust to me.

I'm not sold on the Blues. They don't have the horses. chicago COULD do it, especially with Khabibulins history of getting bigger in the playoffs

I like Chicago. They have some of the particulars I look for in a possible deep playoff run:-top goalie with a penchant for hot streaks where he cant be beat-depth+mobility on D-good power playsI wish they had slightly better depth at fwd, and were better down the middle beyond Toews.Beyond that, I like them a lot.

I dont know what odds line youve got, but you pretty much know the plays I think are overlays based on the line I saw..Chicago for the Conference and the Cup, St Louis for the Conference, Vancouver for the Cup. In the East, Philly and Rangers for Conference and the Cup.

I actually like all of these. Obviously no bet on Philly considering we already have one.

Like I said, I'm good with the Chicago (really like it) and St.Louis bets (lukewarm).Im ok with Vancouver, dont like the Rangers, and we already have Philly. But I looked over the lines, and I dont really love the bets as much as I thought. The problem is we have only left $750. Id rather we risk it with some game bets and maybe just 1 or 2 long term bets at most. The thing is, whats our goal? We trying to make money and payout this spring, or we just gonna keep the money into next year? We trying to get to $4000 and pay everyone $200, or what? I dont care if the money sits there into next year personally. I consider it gone. :club: I say give it to Ray, let him turn into $11,000 like he did with SknGo!After looking over the lines, Im really hesitant to go hard on these long term conference win bets. Vancouver doesnt pay nearly enough, Chicago is ok. St.Louis has the expected long shot odds. NYR odds pay well, personally I just dont like them to do well. BOS Bruins +150 PIT Penguins +375 NJ Devils +500 WAS Capitals +500 CAR Hurricanes +850 PHL Flyers +1200 MON Canadiens +1600 NY Rangers +2200 NHL Western Conference Book Closes May 31 17:05 Win Only DET Redwings +175 SJ Sharks +200 VAN Canucks +450 CHI Blackhawks +800 CAL Flames +1100 CLB Bluejackets +1500 ANA M Ducks +1600 STL Blues +2800

Just for the record..If we cash out $800 and I have to ship $40 to everyone, its not fun..Go for broke IMO, or keep it till next year.

I'd rather throw the entire wad down on Montreal to win the Cup than get $40 back.

Look, we got this together to form a collective hockey brain. We're all going to watch these series like hawks..... Between us, I think we can get the shape of games after a couple of nights in each series. Then I say we bet, but we bet bigger. $200 on a play that we all like. I agree, futures simply don't pay enough to make them worthwhile at this point, and we already have a futures bet on the Flyers.

Yes, we all thought we could make money by analyzing individual games. The playoffs allow us to do it. We should bet 50 on a series we really feel, maybe 50 on a cup finalist, and save the rest for picking games that we have a good feel for.

This is exactly how I feel now. I dont want to bet on futures unless there is something really obvious and a great line. I dont see that.I want to find a particular game, a particular line, O/U, that we really like and go hard on it. The last month of SknGo, all I looked for was games involving Stl/Cbj/Nas/Min going under. Nothing else. I say we find a bet we all really like, based on "watching it like hawks", and go hard. I'm always partial to certain teams winning game 2, game 3 and game 4 after having seen a trend one way or another based on the first games of a series.

I feel the Rangers would be a great pick in game 1. I feel the Caps are being over-valued at -180, there's no way they are that much of a favourite.I think Lundgvist steals this game. I think the Rangers would be a solid pick.No real comment on the other three games, nothing jumps out at me.
