Looks like the Old Stardust property was sold to a Malaysian group for 350 million and will become the next Strip Megaresort with over 3500 rooms. They want to cater to the new Chinese middle class. Also I see the Sahara is being renovated by a Los Angeles group. Looks like the Strip is back, baby..

Genting is a huge company and also owns one of the two casinos in Singapore that do more business than any resort in Vegas.

Want a good laugh, here is some trivia about the Stardust:

First trip to LV stayed there and stayed there every damn year after that until the end.

 

The reason I went to the Star is because it was the last place in town that hadn't been fagged up, most of the people on the floor looked like they were carring a deadly weapon of some kind and were prepared to kill you at any time. You know their 'backroom' was stil alive and well. I loved that. The old days are all gone now. ****ing Orientals running an operation where the Stardust used to be. I hope a comet hits this planet immediately.

 

At least Arizona Charlies is still around. THe breakfast special is the best thing to happen to LV since the tiger ate Roy.

Also, I see it's going to have an indoor water park. The old Stardust poker room is where Johnny Chan honed his skills back in the 80's. I wonder if he had anything to do with this. (probably not)
