Like I say, not my normal strategy but I've been watching lots of PXF vids and thought I'd try their mass accumulation rebuy strategy. It works for those luck boxes, not for me. Lesson learned! Put the raiser on a decent pocket pair and had no chips in the pot but, I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for me being so invested in the tourney, I'd have taken a chance to really accumulate. He had A6 off and a caller had 8s. River was an ace which woulda got me to $30,000.Bust soon after that with pocket sixes. 6 on the board, but also three 7s, which was good for the opponent's queens.Worst rebuy tourney I have ever been in as far as going mental on the rebuys. I pumped just shy of $50 into it and I really don't know why, because I can usually go deep with small investment and chipping up in the second hour.Good luck to those left in.
